Cheers - I knew that I knew the break but didn't pick it as Mains. I don't surf Margs much anymore but 7m is certainly pushing the limits. Smiths would have been maxing on that swell too?

Yeah Supertubes was washed out and the beachies between Mains and Supers were one big close out and the south point was actually breaking. Surfed Nachos for a bit and then paddled over to Mains to share with about 8 other guys and it was just holding it although the swell had already peaked 2 hours earlier. Smiths is always such a hard paddle!

I wasn't suggesting Gumtree as the only alternative - if we're talking new items, there are better deals to be had than from EBay.

This'll be easy to prove... find me a Maverick ET-732 for less than $58.11 or a Garmin 405CX with HR monitor for less than $193. I personally hope you are right as I am always willing to change tact for a bargain but I severely doubt it.
