So many people have said that the eagles had a ton of weaknesses. Well lets list them. I'll list one then let the rest of you get your opinions and weaknesses in.

Weakness 1) No apparent game plan. Seems that the players are closing their eyes and kicking forward.

WE HAVE A GAME PLAN. WE JUST DONT HAVE THE CATTLE TO EXECUTE IT. THAT IS, GOING FORWARD, KICK OVER THE LINES TO THE KEY POSITION PLAYERS. (SIERA, CUMMINGS, GARDINER) THEY MAKE A CONTEST. SHOULD THEY NOT MARK IT CRUMBING PLAYERS COME TO THE FORE. (PHIL MATERA, MERENDA, KERR, COUSINS).

IN THE BACK HALF, KICK ONE SHORT (MORRISON) THEN WIDE. THEN CENTRE THE BALL (SEE GOING FORWARD)

YOU GET THE IDEA

THE MIDFIELDERS ARE SHORT OF A GALLOP DUE TO PRESEASON INJURIES - COUSINS, BRAUN, TAYLOR, MERENDA, KEMP

IN THE WORDS OF KJ THIS AINT ROCKET SCIENCE.

WE HAVE TO BE PATIENT AND LET THE DRAFT SYSTEM WORK. PRAY/HOPE OUR RECRUITING CONTINUES IN THE FASHION KJ HAS SHOWN AND THERE ARE NO MORE CAREER ENDING INJURIES - IE EVANS, HEADY, WORSFOLD, MCKENNA, WATERMAN (ONE OR TWO OF THESE GUYS SHOULD BE STILL PLAYING) WE SHOULD BE CELEBRATING THE SACRIFICES THEY MADE FOR PREMIERSHIPS.

ALTHOUGH JAKO AND ROO A SHADOWS OF THEIR GREAT SELVES THE YOUNG BLOKES BENEFIT FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE. THIS IS A GREAT TEAM WE ARE BUILDING.I SAW THE SAME THING IN THE LATE EIGHTIES. YOU COULD READ JAKO, KEMP, MCINTOSH FOR GLENDENNING, ANNEAR, KEENE ETC.

I THINK WE HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. SOME OF THE MATURE AGE RECRUITS ARE STILL PRETTY YOUNG. WHEN THE ROOKIES DEVELOP WE WILL HAVE A GOOD BLEND.

UNTIL THEN WE'RE SCREWED - ESPECIALLY IF KJ IS GOING TO HAVE WILSON WARMING THE BENCH AS MUCH AS HE DID. TROY THE BOY COULD INSTILL THE PASSION THAT WAS LACKING YESTERDAY.

IF I WAS TO IDENTIFY A WEAKNESS I WOULD HAVE TO SAY WE LACKED PASSION. HOW DO WE FIX THAT - GET TO SUBI ON SUNDAY AND YELL YOURSELF HORSE.

GO EAGLES.

1. Half Forward - no real target. We can try and play Seira, Wilson, Carroll, Collica or Donnelly but it wont matter. We have no pure CHF and that is a big problem in heading for goal. It doesnt matter when we kick over it to Scotty but when we come out of defence there is no one to kick to.

2. Imbalance - Old guard, young guns, rookies and new faces. Will take time for everyone to know each other.

3. Loose man - Judge seems to like to play a loose man in defence. That releases his opponent to come into our defence and do the same. He sit and waits and as soon as Cummings leads out he just fills the gap. We dont have a leaping Modra FF. We have leading hit him on the chest FF. The less ppl in defence to fill the gaps the better.

4. Injuries - I know other supporters say it is excuses but we DID have a horror run with injuries last year and now in the first game back no Matera Kemp and Embly to even consider for the game. And then with just one game down, we have Cummings Glass and Seira walking to the rooms with crutches!! Why wont the evil Injury man go away.

Cant agree more.

We've been missing a presence around half forward for ages. And to make things worse, we've tried so many players in that position that its become a joke.

Also, i think the gameplan is to bomb it inside 50 and hope the big fellas like Cummings , Seira and Wilson go for the mark. THe problem is we cant get it inside 50 cos with this loose man in defence business, were getting killed before it gets to Cummings and co. And Troy Wilson on the bench doesnt help......

Agree iceman ( i really wish i was named maverick now

) Wilson should have been out there on sunday, dont know what judge was thinking. Half forward is becoming a joke for the club and every other team in the comp knows it. If clubs start playing a loose man in defence on us to stop Cummings' impact on the game then send his opponent forward with him. So he has to worry about his direct opponent rather than blocking the holes Cummings runs into. Something has to be done!

I would have to say I don't think Judge WAS thinking, he was in a catatonic state and thats why Wilson was on the bench. I'm a supporter of KJ, but I think he must be trying to change that, what a silly thing to do. Oh well, lets hope this week he doesn't have a relapse!
