I am pushing the Bigfooty brass to put up one of those site-wide Announcement thingies advertising the Grand Final thread.

If this succeeds, we should make the most of any traffic we get through that thread from visitors.

This means adding grabbers and information data here and there. You'll see I've already added the Introduction post with a link back to that thread.

Ways you can all help:
- Post on the match thread, even if you aren't with either of the two teams. Wish one or both teams good luck, make up a tip for the winner (and margin maybe).
- Mention your own team in passing, giving a reference to who you play for and how you and/or your team went this year. Furies players might say "well we had crap year but we still have the most flags", Bombers players " grrr we could have taken either of these, if only we'd won the prelim", etc.
- If you haven't already, add an advert in your sig, link the Intro thread. Even if its only for this week.
- Any highlights from a past match, eg a copy/paste of commentary of some great goal or play of yours. You know, something that gives a visitor a sense of what its all about.
- Any other fun info. Keep the argy bargey up. Name some other player and something they are known for, etc. THat sortah stuff.
- Reference something historical about your team or the league. I'll try to do a bit of this since I'm the league history geek, but you can also contribute: "When we won in Season # ..." etc

There's plenty more things I can't think of right now.

If you want the league to grow and succeed, take advantage of this opportunity to get the hooks into anybody who happens to be passing by! Talk it up! Advertise!!!

PS: I don't mean to go so spammy that you can hardly tell its a grand final thread. Definitely FIRST reference the match (or whatever we're generally talking about there), but just slip in some more stuff as well

I know Tarks, but I am not involved in GF, due to my allegiance to Buller earlier in the year. I was asking out of interest sake.
