I must say, I thought the exact same thing. I don’t know of many clubs that have the same personnel from 2009.

Let me tell you something. We all go out to play football for the love of football. Some are good some are shit. What we have in common is the love of the sport. Some individuals ruin it for others 100% and it’s not on, but all clubs have these, some hide it better than others. No one heard about the all in brawl last week with west coburg and oak park in the ressies spectators and players? Or west coburg u18 brawling and getting game called off? I’m not outing anyone but these things happen at every club and right now our club is in the spot light. My point is, we play footy for the love of the sport like everyone else. Ps. Our seniors have made finals last 2 years, and the ressies are a bunch of mates just having a laugh together. So calm your farm Leo prince. Would love to have a coffee and chat about why you’re so but hurt about us

Add the Abers Strathmore brawl at the U14s earlier in the year.
Not sticking up for NS at all, id support the EDFL banning them for continual problems, but there does seem to be rules for some and not others.

Think you missed the point big boy. The point is that this issue with on field violence has been around for a looooong time. The fact it was reported in 2009 and here we are in 2025v and nothing has changed at the club speaks volumes

Wasn’t potting the club, but your point is well made, some of us just blindly go off.

I was there in that year. When I read about the underage drinking I choked on my Pepsi Max. That was a flat out lie.

Every single player who misbehaved was shown the door straight away. The behaviour simply wasn't tolerated and as Dan Kennedy said those players in the PF were shown the door very quickly.

I've got no doubt the club learned from that day and were better for it.

West Coburg v Craigieburn was called off. WC kid was sent off for striking 2 players, then a Craigieburn kid clapped in his face as he was walking off. And he punched him also. Umpires advisors were there and seen it all. Heard it went to tribunal and the WC kid got 1 week.

Only 1 week gee that’s great education for younger players to behave.

Also Craigieburn had a game vs Oak Park earlier in the year called off. The EDFL statement at the time mentioned any further games called off from the 2 clubs will see the team suspended for remainder of the year.
So why do EDFL put out statements but never where to them..

Their is a simple answer to the NS problem , club Presidents have a duty of care to their club people , not only players but trainers , supporters and general helpers . Not one club can actually say they feel comfortable playing against NS.
That being said the Presidents need to withdraw their teams from playing against NS
And lets not forget , this is not just a Div 2 problem , both Premier and Div 1 clubs play NS in juniors and are also subjected to disgraceful behaviour .
Time to stand up Presidents

Hey mate, not saying Craigieburn were at fault in any way just explaining what the league statement said.. I find it difficult to understand why the league doesn’t follow through with their own processes and seem to give out light sentences for offences occurred.
Why would umpires worry about reporting anyone knowing the league won’t hand out punishment, but like the vic gov stance on machete’s where they just get out on bail to do it again.
One could say the league encourages these types of thug acts.

If a parent approaches the umpires then suspend the team for a week or 2. Every parent knows that’s NOT acceptable behaviour. That would create club discussion and focus on the parent who did the wrong thing. No excuses for that behaviour at all. Let’s protect umpires.
Yes the kids suffer, but hey go put your frustration towards the parent not the league. But once again little action by the league..

A parent could send into the league video of an incident like an elbow or hit off the ball and can guarantee the league will do nothing if in fact you get a reply. It’s actually laughable..

Yeah just said that earlier on the div1 thread. From what I can see only Elliot, Smith and the full forward missing from the last who played most weeks. Look to be a very good team coming down based on the last 3 weeks from he results we saw. Will be good to see if haddy can continue their late season form into next year. Div 2 could come the best div in local footy next year. Looks very competitive if ES can up their game.

Won’t play div 2, will leave and play elsewhere and if the club gets promoted you would think would strongly consider returning. North Heidelberg has been rumoured for months.

on field bad behaviour at NS not total problem also spectators jumping the fence and getting involved as some family member in a scuffle on field. I have seen this at game involving NS ,this is a cultural thing and I dot know how the committee at NS can solve this

Antony Papalia has been announced as one of NS’s senior coaches for next year.

I don’t really know him personally but I know lots who do and they all say he’s a top bloke.

NS’s senior team does have a few quality guys. As mentioned before, it’s the reserves and thirds that let them down.

Tamer coaching again though . Sadly for Antony it will be the Tamer show and he will be shunted into a corner and made to watch it all unfold . NS will never move on whilst they keep rolling out the same same . Time to move on from Tamer but no they went again . Co coaches don’t work at senior footy , let’s see how long it takes until there is a divide .

Can say all you want but since the last president left the job hanging because he sacked a club legend the season before and allowed 5-10 homegrown players to leave, the Ex President of NS should be the one taking a good hard look quit mid way through year due to incompetence and going back on his own word, any man like that is not a man you calling up your VP quitting is not a coup despite what you believe, the decision is everyone focusing on the clubs own issue before trying get involved into other clubs issues, I have it on quiet good report on who you are keep talking that’s all you are good for, blame everyone but yourself “rusty gatez” J.A.

I hope they havent given him a cash sign on . How can you coach if you have no opposition to coach against ?
