Iirc at windy hill a few years ago ago vespreni got 11 weeks later changed to 4 on appeal and Holihan got six weeks both incidents weren’t as bad as Cavka’s. He should have got sixteen weeks feck him you don’t want that shit happening on a football field or anywhere.

From memory Veszpremi appeal brought up mitigating circumstances in that he was suffering from concussion.

Perhaps a few of there thirds players could push up for senior selection. Was watching the game last week against Hume and thought no. 5 was really impressive on the wing with his line breaking ability, perhaps an opportunity for some of these blokes

Maybe go to training and crack into the reserve team before jumping yourself from div.2 THIRDS to Premier

You’re percent right. Only due to it being premier he got 11 weeks but Cavka incident a lot worse. What are the league tribunal smoking these days??

I’ve seen that umpire about four times this year and each time he has paid three or four of those mind boggling decisions. Par for the course when he umpires.

So your number 5 in the Thirds! does your coach read BF ?? train a little more and goes through the 2s, see if your up to it...

I’ve seen that umpire about four times this year and each time he has paid three or four of those mind boggling decisions. Par for the course when he umpires.

Not one to knock umps as we need them, but each year the standard is dropping! you get what you can get

Well if the league is giving out 6 weeks suspension for off ball king hits then that’s not a league supporting umpires or to improve the competition only makes it a worse off competition. If not careful they could end up worse than WRFL with poor management

All the "who ha" over the edfl being a superior competition to others is losing credibility imo. Yes the standard is very good but there's been some cracks appearing over the past 12 months.

For starters:

*Umpiring - worse every year (this is every league l'd imagine though)
*Attendances - way less than the Wrfl
*Keilor fc situation - findings and pathetic sanction.
* East Keilor fc situation - wow!!!! Feel for ex committee, supporters etc, one in particular who was president for 10 years absolutely ripping fella.

But l hope it gets better for all clubs, players and everyone involved as l love my local footy.

Anyway just my opinion so don't sook up, those that might. Have a great long weekend everyone!

There are afew umps that have gone to the WRFL from the EDFL, so it must have improved over there for them!

There are afew umps that have gone to the WRFL from the EDFL, so it must have improved over there for them!

Maybe the WRFL umpire coach convinced them to move.
