Was Bewick sacked or did he leave by choice?Jets have done well for a long period of time but the financial and participation squeeze is on.Money was once a factor in recruiting but now a few others have upped the spend.Although facilities and surface are now very good its a shocking wind tunnel with little appeal to watch footy there.Will need a coach with a solid contact list.

Not sure contact lists make you a good coach, maybe a recruiter

Would not exactly say facilities are good. They have a big scoreboard, a grandstand and that's it. The lower level looks like it's from the 50s and should have been reno'd before the ridiculous top level was added. The change rooms last i saw has holes in walls, toilets that didn't work and were dark and musty. Surface if ok but the rest of the place looks like a tip

Hands up who had them playing finals this year especially all the knockers on this forum. I have read through all the comments pre and post "Round 1" especially so l'm intrigued for some responses. Have no idea who I predicted or if I even did but doubt anyone had an alternative to the big 3 finishing top 3.

Greenvale have had a significant drop off that surprised me, and Pascoe Vale’s first half was well below previous season.

Can’t imagine anyone predicted Marby playing finals either!

Deer Park should be playing finals at a minimum with the cash they splash but IMO are no real threat this post season. Too inconsistent to put together 3 wins in a row against the best teams, and the best 22 can’t play together under points cap.

After round 1 I thought the same as last year, they've taken another step, they still put in the odd lacklustre game, but its good for the comp

I wouldn't have thought Deer Park aka Star****ers Inc. fans are really in a position to question others integrity.
That said:
Predicted Pacco & Greenvale would make finals: incorrect.
Predicted Deer Park wouldn't win the flag: we'll see.

What does experience have to do with anything? I reckon playing over 200 AFL games and knowing how local football works holds him in decent shape. Will be interesting to see if he can hold onto a number of senior players who could potentially leave.

Word on the street from head quarters that 2 premier clubs and 3 div 1 clubs have been sent please explain notices in regards to being on or just over the cap at this stage of the season going by the amounts on the signed player contracts. Also 1 club is under review for under the table payments from an entertainment venue. Stay tuned

Was probably an obvious appointment after he put his hand up for next season. He has them flying the last month.

Leigh* from all reports had NFI about local football. I would say Bewick* did fairly well at Greenvale, made finals at least once or twice.
