Unfortunately that’s footy in the last round mate. All clubs would rest players in their position as it had no bearing on where they finish. They regroup and go again.

Contemptible action by DP today to play a vastly 2nd rate team against Airport West. Predictably they got thumped, but in the process sabotaged any chance of EDS making the finals. In normal circumstances DP would have been expected to beat APW, particularly at home. However naming such an inferior quality team put paid to that, and made a mockery of the game and the comp.

In order to protect the integrity of the comp, and dissuade this tawdry behaviour, perhaps the EDFL will have to have a week off between the last H&A match and the first final.
That’s what the AFL were forced to do after finals bound Freo decided to rest around 10 first choice selections in the last H&A match of 2013.

Hope Airport West thump them next week.

APW had a couple of VFL guys in today who won’t be eligible to play next week.

Be interesting to see how the squads look next week.

Funny that Deer Park had so many changes and played a second string side but they were still at 42/46 points.

It’s not right I agree but this stuff tends to happen in past years also. Not to this extent but it happens. Not sure how you can fix it.
Hide a few salary Cap $$ as well by not paying players. Well not on the books anyway
