Callum ( ran out of ink ) Moore is a very good player but worthy medallist is the question. Kicked 37 goals in 3 matches and 31 goals in 13 matches. What amount of time does he spend up forward?. Is this further proof that Aberfeldie Umpires are in bed together?
Give me your thoughts. He certainly polled 3 against the 7 straight premiership winner Deer Park in drone gate round. No question on that game but would like opinions from others who saw him play a little more than myself.
Will he still head off to the tobacco league next year?
Apologies if I am absent just grinding some combs & cutters.

Interesting that Greenvale are yet to announce a replacement for Bewick, unless the replacement is still competing in finals.

But my money is still on Maric.

Had to laugh at last night's U18 awards. Two of Keilor's medalists played at Burnside from 10's to 14's before finding their way to Keilor. They'll be 1 pointers by the time they play Seniors ;)
I think you will find that’s progression of kids/parents all over Australia playing footy. If their kid has any talent they move them to Div 1 Clubs.

Not sure you can just pin that on Keilor as it happens everywhere. Parents want their kids playing at higher level younger and younger nowadays. Soon as they work out the club they are at isn’t playing or providing highest Divisions now or in the future they leave.

Correct .... IMO Western Region - Williamstown Yarraville Werribee Hoppers Crossing all have the best kids and lots of teams .... Aberfeldie Strathmore Keilor seem to be the place to go in the EDFL .... Gisbourne Rookies and the Sunbury teams are the place to go in the RDFL .... Apologies if I've left any other bigger clubs out of my post ....

The big 3/4

So the solution is just to shrug and say ‘it happens everywhere’? Might as well hand out transfer forms with the rego packs.
Nothing screams ‘fulfilling childhood’ like being able to drop the club name at a barbecue. Forget about development, fun, or actually liking footy, as long as Mum and Dad can flex the bumper sticker, we’re all set

do you have the solution ?
Can blame the clubs all you like but if Parents are willing to move their kids to feed their own ego then it’s never going to stop. A very, very small percentage of young footballers go on to the highest level but trying telling that to little Johnny’s parents

That is development. Not everything has to be equal.

Two solutions.
  1. Cap the number of junior teams per club and per age group at three.
  2. Some sort of player points system. Club can only field a team at max of 23 points
    1. Interleague team A player from other club = 3 points
    2. Interleague team B player from other club = 2 points
    3. If from another league and interleague player then add an extra point.
    4. These points carry over until a player turns 18 and only then do they start reducing.

Could be another couple of casualties for Keilor following today’s win - Xavier going off with an ankle and White looking very proppy late.

Will any of their outs return? If O’Kearney was ruled out with concussion, it’s a protocol of 21 days isn’t it?
Xavier not named, but O’Kearney has following a concussion sustained in the final against Strathmore - what happened to the 21 day protocol?

Like it…Transferred player from within same league 2 points. All junior home growns 0.5 points.

Maybe Only exceptions are those clubs that did not field a team in that age group in previous year, as they will need to build a team. Those teams could be given extra allotment of points for the year

Issue with these is that the management of ponts on a week to week basis is difficult and an added burden on volunteers

Mick was pretty upfront in his post game interview last Sunday. O’Kearney suffered a broken nose, not concussed. He said they nearly played him last week, he will definitely be out there. He also declared Xavier and White wouldn’t come up for the GF due to injury and Cody Brand was no chance

Up front? Give it a spell.... Like all coaches, Mick is no different & will feed out as much BS as he needs too and not care as long as they win.
No doubt he is the best local footy coach this comp has seen, but please don't think anyone is stupid enough to believe he has any integrity and the information he spits out is purely for the advantage of KFC, especially in GF week.

The solution is for your club to get better and have like you say development areas lesser fees quality coaches and programs in place to keep kids .... It's been happening for years it wont change unless other lesser clubs change .... I know Yarraville have boasted significant jnr player numbers and now are fighting the big 3 at jnr level ....

I know Deer Park will have 2 18's teams next year they had 2 16's teams this year that's a positive step for the future ....

We will see if Nick O’ runs out at 2pm tomorrow then

To many players under an injury cloud at Keilor strathmore to win by three goals
You might be right, the lastest 2 injuries might be a couple too many. But I’m backing Keilors depth to be enough, and Mighty Mick to pull one out.

Strathmore losing Egglestone hurts them as well and be surprised if the Captain (Mighell) comes back in, although named.

That’s exactly what it’s about “Parent flex” my kids an AFL prospect that’s why “insert big club” got us across. Wank wank - then the dream doesn’t happen (99.9% of the time) and guess what, you’ve stock piled great 1 point talent.
