Great game today at Drone Park. 5.3 to 1.2 in the last with Abers limping to the finish line. No Jong or Cannolo ( both hammys midway through the 1st 1/4 didn't help there chances.) Enough said those at the game saw what unfolded today!!!!

Great result today with Aberfeldie defeating Deer Park by 5 points - interesting that Deer Park again lose two players during the game to hamstring injuries - perhaps this could be avoided if they had their players actually turn up to pre season and train. But the obvious improvement in the 2026 Deer Park list is that their concerted effort to improve their depth has obviously been a great success with their reserves losing 198 to ZERO. What a joke of a club and if there supposed football brains trust don’t realise that continuing to recruit mercanaries on big dollars and not being able to build a proper list with depth and juniors graduating to senior ranks, they will continue to finish between fourth to seventh. PATHETIC

Clarify the point made about DP "losing players" again pls due to no pre season.????
I guess Petracca, Rozee, Lynch, Nankervis, Callum Ah Chee, Heeney & Liberatore didn't do a pre season either. Stupid statement.

So by the time you have a beer after the game or drive home, the scores are up - less than perfect but hardly the end of the world. Whine less, you're ultimately complaining about volunteers.. which is actually a poor effort.

And the 18s victory was against the Abers 2nd side. Deer Park petitioned to play down a division. That plus the piss poor Reserves score, show why they will never make it in the EDFL.
The Seniors game was a great matchup. Good viewing platform at the new Aberfeldie clubrooms and a good canteen. Anyone at the Airport West vs Douttas match that can offer insight? I thought Douttas would have been more of a contender this season.

Independant spectator today...Canada, you where either shitfaced or plainly stupid or both, umpiring was a disgrace, stats read 27 Abers 14 Deer Park, it wasn't the quantity to Abers, it was the lack of consistancy to Deer Park for the same frees...Abers with the team they put on the park today not a chance...Deer Park no chance!

I think I witnessed the worst case of umpiring I have ever seen today at the Deer Park v Dronefeldie match. Older umpire should be made to explain his actions. Unacceptable.

And look at the other u/18 1s side in that competition. AW beat Doutta’s 2s by 110. AW have a few talented kids in that team who should be playing better standard then beating up on 2s teams.

Nope. Most of Abers were there.. DP were being guided to a win late by umps but fell short. Terrible. So glad Abers won. Right result. Independent viewers opinion.

Well he is listed as a 6 on playhq. So Deer Park would have had a chance to tick this off as they receive a spreadsheet with point allocations.

Wrong… the player points system spells it out pretty clearly… u can find it online if you took 5 mins to search before your shoot from the hip!!

A really good game of football between Greenvale and Marby we were a bit stiff to lose kicking 2.6 in the last , but then again marby would have been stiff to lose as well . Greenvale will be very competitive this year.
