I can't beat this Radhan guy.

Like I literally don't think I'll ever beat him.
I thought the same thing. I did read about a cheese for him. Get a dragon heart, go to the dragon communion church, buy rotten breath (think that's what it's called) and use that on him. Apparently it'll do the job easily.

I just beat him... basically just on horseback.

I looked into that cheat but it'd take me like 14 levels of farming and that's not worth it.

What summons do you have?

I used the wolves to distract him, and just chipped away. Took many attempts, and even when I was successful I barely scraped through.

I've read impressions of later bosses, I'm probably not going to be able to finish the game lol (Dark Souls 1 expert, but struggled with 3 and I don't count Sekiro even though I beat it straight forward). Just a lot of Elden Ring bosses are 1 hit killers lol, I prefer to tank my way through.

What level are you on?
I’m on 20 and still can’t get anywhere near beating him.

25 now.

I reckon a few of the later bosses are some of the hardest hitting bosses in the series but that could just be because I haven't played them to death like other games.

You'll beat it though. The mimic tear summon is basically a free win against some bosses.

Still learning the ins and outs, I was happy as when I found the blacksmith to upgrade my weapon. I only read this morning that the spirit summons can be leveled up as well. So I'll work on doing that while slowly going to more areas.

If I have to I'll just farm runes non-stop for a few hours and try luck.

There is a whetstone at the 2nd grace you come across, sounds like you missed it.

One of the first items I found near the gravesite. I obviously need to read up more about what you can actually do in the game :P
I've collected a lot of the flowers and things, 2 cook books..... yet to actually craft anything from the collection I've got.

Sorry whetstone was not the word I was looking for (but hey its a sharpening tool for blacksmiths all the same), rather there's an ANVIL next to the grace where you can upgrade your weapons.
Fairly useless once you've got the blacksmith available anyway.

I'll still have a wander around and explore, handy to know in future playthroughs

That Radahn fight. Beating it with 0 flasks and 1 hp. What a rush, and what a campaigner he is. Was absolutely mega tilted after like 10 attempts because of certain aspects of the fight but eventually learned the fight reasonably well, at least good enough to beat it.

Seems like most people are doing it on horse, whicih makes sense but I tried a couple of attempts of that but couldn't make it work that way.

horseless Radahn? Nice dude.

The Malenia bossfight is pretty tough. She heals when she hits you which is a bugger because she has an attack flurry that hits about a thousand times in a few seconds. She's also the last boss I haven't killed excluding the end boss.

is it just me or does killing enemies grant way less souls/runes than previous games?

also is anyone on PS5 having constant connection issues? unsure if its a server thing or an issue on my end

in raya lucaria now and getting stomped lol. time for co op i guess
Yeah it does feel like less runes than usual. Think it's to balance the fact it's easier to get end game loot early and farm easily.

Excellent fight, I ended up beating her with a cheese method
