They are pretty much rhythm games with combat overlaid. Finally beating that boss you've been stuck on for ages is the reward you get for the patience and muscle memory you develop. Love these games.

After watching some of the network test streams and youtube clips, it's safe to say I'm going to struggle to wait for this to be released in Feb next year.

Anyone know where should I go for the cheapest copy of Elden Ring on PC?

Sekiro is just awesome isn't it? I booted it up for a bit the other day. It's just so satisfying to play when you understand it's mechanics.
it's soooo good! Can't believe I'd never had a crack before now. I have been loving it so much. I've just started NG+ and it's hilarious how much better you are at the game second time round when you get the mechanics! (Although it doesn't hurt having a much bigger health bar, and all the skills etc). After Demon's Souls and now Sekiro I'm so excited to play a Soulsbourne game at initial release for the first time ever!

I have never played a Souls/FromSoftware game and reading how difficult these games are, I won’t. 😂

But they look like ******* epic, awesome games. Just that my level is way too low and I am used to difficulty settings.

Their difficulty is overstated for sure. I'd give them a shot. Patience will typically let you progress a fair way. Lots of cheesing can be done as well if you get reaaaally stuck. Sekiro not so much though haha.

It took me forever to beat sekiros first boss!!

Running through Dark Souls again (got bored and made a sword fighter named He-Man!).

Interested in Elden Ring, but probably will wait a bit. Not so much for a sale, but for everyone to do video walkthroughs in the event that I'll likely get stuck and need help to progress.

i'll give elden ring a go but i'm not expecting to finish.
closest i have gotten in a soulsborne is mergos wet nurse in bloodborne.
tried DS1 & 3, both great games but i only made it halfway through, i just dont have the skill or patience

i did finish both Nioh's but had significant help via online play :$

sounds like elden ring is a bit more cheesable if your bad at these games like myself

I've never understood people that say they feel paralysed by games like Skyrim/The Witcher because there are so many quests that they don't know where to start.

But I feel a little paralysed by Elden Ring. I don't like missing things in these types of games and I just know I'm going to miss so much on my first playthough. I don't know what direction I'm going to head in first. I'll probably spend the first 5 hours just riding around looking at everything before deciding what to do first.

Haven't been excited for a game to come out in some time. Feel like this could be an all time favourite.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out in practice, but I feel like it's not going to be such a major change up in formula to Dark Souls. Obviously looking like it will be slightly less linear but in reality the Dark Souls games have a fair bit of freedom to tackle things how you choose.

true, but from all reports the initial space before you hit a roadblock that you have to beat to continue, is far bigger. Couldn't be more excited. 3 days baby!
