Newman had the more obvious talent and class back then.
Glad we have both now!
Newman is the forgotten man, hopefully he's doing ok in jail and will be set for a big year next year.

If if it was based of statistics alone, sure. But his ball tracking, clean hands and strength over the ball appear obvious.

don't know if anyone's asked, 13th August 'Calling all Victorians' on club website, Murray Newman is in the centre of the photo. Is it recent or just an old photo?
I noticed that too, wondered the same thing.
Safe bet it's an old photo. Pretty sure he is not up for parole yet.
So is yeo down to 2/3 weeks yet?

Yeo os actually the perfect player to play on Fyfe next year in derbies. He is best suited as he can is a similar size, strong, quick, aggressive and most importantly when fyfe goes forward Yeo is much better in the air in that position than a hutch or scooter. Should be used in a run with role whenever we play the purple flogs

I read somewhere there was a slight concern that he wasn't getting the food in @ prison in order to gain much mass.
Some dudes can be huge and jacked in jail but Newman is very ectomorphic and so I reckon he'd need a perfect diet to make dem gains.
He's been gone 9 weeks now. How many was he originally listed out for? 4-5? Suggests a set back.
I reckon he's a sneaky chance to come back if we make finals.
