I could think of no more fitting a player then Enright to be the first Cat to hit 300 games in what... a few decades? Even the people who bitch and moan about cats players in gameday threads never say a bad thing about Enright.

Since 1981/82 when Ian Nankervis hit it.
I'm actually surprised he was allowed to carry on for another season, especially when the Cats usually cut there players short from making the 300 Mark (Scarlett, Riccardi, Corey and Milburn come to mind).. Hopefully he can hit the 300.
Enright is actually playing much better than any of those other 4 at the same stage; he will, once again, be well up in our B&F.
Corey was still very good but he was asked to play a slightly different role every now and again which he was not familiar with (defender).
Can't knock 21 touches & 4½ tackles a game though. The ultimate quiet achiever was Smithy.

Last year, the AFL website listed each club's best midfielders- based on clearances and them being a common theme in whatever ruck/midfield setup was being played at any time, I think. Corey ranked as our #1. I had a quick look for the article a few days ago when JC's name was mentioned but couldn't find it. Might have a better hunt later- it was one of those reports written around CD stats.Yes, "much" is too strong in relation to Joel Corey, he was still more than handy, and would still be in our best side now.
Thread needs more reaction gifs, I was actually a bit worried there for a moment!
Anyway, me rn:

I think Corey was 'pushed' to retire.Didn't Scarlet and Corey leave on their own accord? And Riccardi was injury prone. Milburn as probably the only one and he wasnt able to get into thr side toward the end in 2011.
Where is this from Daz? He's not on the free agent list, ergo, he has signed. Club confirmed so on twitter and website too.Having removed the cranial undies and restored under garment order, I read today that we may have been a bit premature.
Paraphrasing, it seemed as thought Boris has the offer and has agreed to the terms of the offer but will use the Finals series to determine his body and minds aptitude to sign the deal.
So basically, he still has an out should he choose.
Im very excited about his acceptance of the terms of the deal but clearly there are more permutations and combinations to be finalized.

Ah, you've quoted the original article that was posted, after which time they added this to the top of it:http://www.geelongcats.com.au/news/2014-09-02/enright-is-set-to-play-in-2015
It is understood the 32-year-old will use this year's finals series to reassure himself his body will survive the rigours of another AFL season.
If things go as planned, the triple-premiership defender will definitely run out in the blue and white hoops again next season.
This was is embedded in the above quoted piece. It does not say he won't do it, and does not disagree that he wants to sign, but it seems to give him the escape clause should he want it…

Ah, you've quoted the original article that was posted, after which time they added this to the top of it:
Story update: Geelong superstar Corey Enright has officially re-signed with the club.
After reports that Enright would re-sign made the rounds yesterday, the AFL’s release of the free agents list on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the news with his omission.
With the new headline "Enright will play in 2015".
I think they should have removed the old article to be clearer, but I'm 100% sure he has now signed.
OK, daz. Undies back up top, pleaseyeah the 7sec delay for the 17000km travel time is a bitch…. update scmupdate… lol

should have retired
he is good enough, but the tough decision should have been made
by signing Kelly and Enright for another year the club is going in the wrong direction
