The time to get Sancho was before the season started when he had nothing to go on and it was a clean slate. Apart from being English, I have NFI why he would want to leave a fantastic Dortmund side where the football must be so much fun, for such a young side, for this crap.

He definitely doesn’t look upset at being there. Even after Haaland took the penalty off him

Imagine being in the United goal and seeing those two muppet central defenders in front of you. No wonder De Gea has given up.

It’s quite sad that the best defender at the club is one who was loaned out all of last season and is set to be sold. If Smalling isn’t good enough, then I don’t know how Maguire and Lindelof continue to be played together.

Who's Maguire? New signing?

Did you guys not start Harold Miqueeer?

Delighted as a Palace fan, looked sharp from kick off. Thought it may be a good time to visit OT without a crowd.

Wilf looks reborn after a lacklustre previous season.

We defend well, nearly always do, but when we also have find our attacking threat we can be a handful.

5 games now unbeaten in Manchester with more wins than draws follows a similar run on Merseyside a few years ago. Its fun beating the big boys.

He's just got big ears like me that don't hold masks well

Zaha is such a good player, I think he is a level below where he should be. He's not a top tier player, like a top six club kinda player but that next level like Leicester, Everton, Wolves etc is where he should be plying his trade. Dragging Palace away from relegation every year must suck for him.

Matchday 1 was pretty fun without the 2 Manc clubs. Now I have to watch Man City win 7-0 and Man United get a penalty again.
So Man United got a pen given against them. Man City to lose 7-0?

Disrespectful comment.
I believe it to be true. His calibre is well above Everton IMO

How were Fulham given a penalty? There was absolutely nothing in it and it just looked like a fell over. I'd be fuming if I was a Leeds fan and that cost us the game.

Great ball from Ceballos to play in Eddie. In the last few years we'd usually drop points in a game like that. Good to get the three points.

Unlucky penalty against United, very, very stiff on Lindelof.

The thing is, and I hate to say this, but if Wilf had better players around him he would be an even better player. He has often been double marked with us because he has often been our biggest threat by some distance. Playing in a team with multiple threats would free him up and he'd be more dangerous.

Most Palace fans wouldn't begrudge him a move now to a "bigger" club but not sure the likes of Leicester, Wolves or even Everton would do it for him. He has said he wants to win things and play CL football. Interesting he was Captain today, perhaps a ploy by Roy to make him want to stay.

By the way he didn't "drag" us away from relegation last season it was Ayew's goals which did. Wilf was largely anonymous in many games. Poor year by his standards perhaps losing motivation after not getting his move after 18/19. Looks motivated now though, 6 goals already counting pre season.
