The biggest positive is the 'openness' of this season. I realistically see a chance to finish 4-12 depending on results in the last two rounds.. so many 'upsets' every week, I think it is going to be a close season, where % and 4 pts could separate 6 teams..

In what way would you say that Carlisle had more impact than Crameri?

Took 4-5 really good contested grabs and handed off a goal he could have kicked himself.

Not that Jake did an enormous amount, but when you're a lead up forward and you take 1 mark and have 5 kicks, you've done 1/8th of F*** all

Explain how Carlisle and Crameri are apples and oranges?

I mean their situations are different, and you cannot compare them based on their stats - Crameri has shit stats because Hurley is in form, playing really well and impacting Crameri's output. Carlisle has shit stats because he has no confidence and is playing shit, regardless of who is on him.

Where's Paddy Ryder at? He's done nothing of note all season.

I quite liked his game tonight. Worked bloody hard in 2nd efforts after the ruck contest, especially from boundary throw ins. I thought he probably could have got another 3 or 4 soft free kicks with Minson blocking but umpires tend not to keep repaying the same guy with the same free kick, even when is there.

Despite picking up 25 disposals, I'm really on the bashing Zaharakis bandwagon now. I still hold hope he can be a real top-line player, but he hasn't utilised his potential. Far too often last year and now this year he's tailing behind his man just jogging. His second efforts and shepherding are also very poor. Incredibly infuriating.

At the risk of being e-stoned to death, I actually thought Dempsey got better in the second half. Hopefully he's turned or is turning the corner.
At least he still had the confidence to take the game on, even if he was two steps behind the play. Rather that than Carlisle this season who, at times, has been ultra negative.

Didn't get a chance to watch the presser. What did Bomber say?

Basically that he was impressed with everything except consistency (which he puts down to mental) - the way we won after a hard fought game, Hurleys game, Danihers game, Fletchers game, Carlisle working harder. Belly will walk back into the team if he shows any sort of VFL form.

After match press conferences are a waste of time. Their responses are basically robotic with not wanting to give away anything.

Go to be worried when you kick 4 goals in 3 quarters. 3 goals in 3 qtrs last week and not much better 2 weeks before that.
Only real positive was Daniher, played well. Good to see him lead up and grab a couple of chest marks midfield and got things going in that 3rd qtr.

Would have been nice if he said that he was impressed by the umpiring. I'm racking my brain, and can't think of a game that has been more poorly umpired.

We are really terrible but the good sides find ways to win when they are down and this is the first time for a while that we have been rubbish and found a way to grind it out and get the win. Very happy on that front but...boy, do we have issues (and it's 90% mental).

Bomber was pro-active tonight and it showed, Hurley and Fletch kept us in it and then were the reason we won it.

Hope Winders is OK, he looked shattered at first but seemed more positive after the match. Fingers crossed.

Very interesting presser from Thompson. Obviously disappointed in the players inability to bring the intensity in every quarter - with on field leaders like Watson and Goddard, one has got to wonder what the players need to find that intensity.

Well actually he took 5 marks in total, on 1 of which was contested. But I see your point.

I don't think it changes the fact that Carlisle did 1/6th of **** all

Interesting that all seem to agree that Hurley tore Crameri a new one.. Crameri and Carlisle had statistically similar outputs tonight. Logic therefore dictates that if you accept that Crameri did nothing, then Carlisle did nothing also.

Crameri' second, third, and fourth efforts are non existent unless he is playing against a bottom 4 side.

Biggest positive for me was our defence coming up clutch.

Not happy that we are just scraping past some of the lower ranked sides, but I do find it very important that we could come back from a 0 goal quarter to win.

He'll be okay. He is in a good 'space' at the moment, now he has sorted out his issue in his personal life.

Yeah i'm not sure what's with jobe. Is he trying to save himself for later in the year or something? He's not playing badly just not getting anywhere near amount of the ball he used to.
he cracked it at Heppel in the first quarter too - they made a big deal of it on the TV broadcast
