Maybe we can get away with climbing the goal post during the last kick of game. They are in free kick land currently, smashing it every week with the umpiring.
16-1. Yeah, clubs rooted.Bombers are mediocre personified, and have been in no mans land far longer than St Kilda.
4-4 but you also have to factor in that we didn't have the edge last year. This year we have the edge.Weren't Essendon like 6 and 2 last season before their decline? Like GC they also start fast and finish 8-12.

The knives will be out again after this game. The rollercoaster ride that is the footy media.Big test this weekend v Collingwood. If they were to win that, they're very much a finals contender. Probably still a couple of years away from contending though.

Finally, variance coming back the other way! They are in free kick land currently, smashing it every week with the umpiring.
In fairness you could use that range for just about any Essendon side over the last 15 years and you’d be pretty accurate.Sitting about where I expected us.
Anywhere from 6-12
we're always in some kind of crisis, be it drugs, generally being shit or something in the middleIt's sort of impressive that Essendon are 4-2, the 2 losses have been away to top 6ish teams and yet they've still managed to squeeze in a media driven "Bombers in crisis" week.
ironic rnPredictable that 50% of the posts here are from Carlton supporters who still think they're somehow a better club than Essendon.
To me the 95% thing both telling but also hopeful.
If you break down the play between stoppage and transition things make more sense.
Good stoppage team. Bad transition team. Can turn a sure thing goal into turnover better than almost any team in the league.
They don’t kill teams because their transition is bad and can’t pull away when they should. They have had 2 games where they didn’t win stoppages (against very good sides) and gotten blown out.
If they can sort their transition issues it will be very much equivalent to Happy Gilmore learning to put. Would be transformative.
Essendon comfortably beat Sydney in stoppages/clearances.
the new home is at Tullamarine, the spiritual home is Windy HillLance Uppercut where are Essendon at?
I would have to agree hereBombers are mediocre personified, and have been in no mans land far longer than St Kilda.
Maybe one day we'll get to describe North as just mediocreI would have to agree here
