Not sure why there's still so much unconditional love for Dean Rioli.....
.....don't get me wrong, he was such a sublime player when he got going, and some of the very best quarters of footy i've even seen of Essendonians were by D Rioli.
Can't remember the year, but mid season at the dome v's Brisbane one Saturday night was the best half of footy i can remember from him....just carved them up......unfortunately, as was the norm, he flagged and did little else all night.
It was his last 2 or 3 years that i personally became really, really disappointed in him for NEVER getting himself into the shape required to play consistent afl footy.....his last season or 2 in particular he made Lance Whitnall look like a fitness fenatic.
Had his 100th game gifted to him by Sheedy despite the fact that he didn't put in the work to earn it, with Sheeds saying it was for father son.....although i'm pretty sure he only had 2 daughters at the time so wtf???
Again, loved watching him when he was in the zone, but guys like Peverill, Stanton, Hird, the Johnsons etc who where prepared to bust a gut and sacrifice whatever neccessary to represent the red and black, must have privately questioned his dedication when he was still chunky and getting injuries through lack of conditioning years after being recruited.
Last i saw him play was for Tiwi Islands literally a few months after he retired from afl.......the games where televised on abc and i rekon i saw about 4 with him playing.....
.....looked significantly heavier than his afl days after just 3 or so months off, and was reasonably good in the games i saw....probably on the edge of the best players, without actually being best on ground.

More? As in maybe more delistings? Decisions on the rookies etc?

Plays for North Albury in the O & M. Had an okay season, kicked 10 goals in one of the finals. He is a rolls royce at that level.

U cant do that 2 us BTG, If its not true we'll forgive u?? How we meant 2 sleep now when we get a teaspoon of info like that?? Is it a less than 20 gamer, 20 - 50 gamer, 50 - 100 or 100+ gamer? Atleat give us something, even the reason if no names!!

Atkinson is gone IMO.
Looking at the BomberTV video, it looked like a couple of boys gave Crameri a high five as if he had just recently been told he would be on the list for another year.

Well i dont particuarly like putting players down (especially our own) but i hope its Quinn! He's shown nothing in his time at EFC (bar how to break a team mates leg & halfpie end his carrer)! Every game i have seen him play i'd say he's made no less than 10 turnovers in each except for when he doesn't get 10 touches that is! Other than that not to sure who else i desperately want to go?

U SERIOUS?? Do we just hand out B&F's in the VFL?? OH wait more like every other player was in & out of the seniors all year due to injuries etc & he was the only 1 that played nearlly every game!! Ps Skippy won the B&F & couldn't really cut it at the top!!
