Ok so the people on the main list who it could be are

Houli
Aktinson
Lonergan

Lonergan is about to sign a one year performance based contract or go to hawthorn.

Rookie listed players who it could be are

Quin
Crameri
Marigliani
Silverlock.

Not really phased who loose if its only out of them, although would like to keep Crameri, Marigiliani and Silverlock.

Just an inkling it's probably definitely could maybe be outside chance Hurley. And based on that clearly very, very unlikely scenario, I suggest we all buy horse's heads and dump them @ windy hill.

What about the vicious circle of the debilitating knee injury that made it almost impossible to train enough to lose weight, which caused weight that meant it was impossible to fix the knee???

Actually i don't live in a black and white world on this issue at all mate, i know a thing or 2 about it.....i've got 2 bad knees (tendonitis in both), and have had for about 3 seasons now.....

I work full time, and unlike D Rioli am not surrounded by the best facilities, or the best nutritionists/dietitians, nor trainers, physio and everything else he had at his disposal the whole time, and i manage to stay in significantly better shape than he did and play footy....

.....it's not easy sometimes, and can get boring and frustrating swimming, kayaking, cycling, weights etc over summer when all you wanna do is run, but i can assure you it keeps you fit and allows you to come into a season with a much improved chance of staying out there....

....and believe me, i've tried the lazy way, and it definitely results in starting the season way behind the 8 ball, and ultimately playing well below your best and missing a lot more games.

But hey, what would i know?

Why do we need to delist another player? Houli is walking and we are only using 3 picks in the ND.

Unless Houli will stay (please hope this is true as he will be awesome). Doubt it though.

I'm with you WAS, a little confused. It can't be someone we planned to delist as we have the picks we planned for, therefore it's either a prank, btg's source is nothing more than ketchup, or Lonergan/Atko is walking into the PSD (or a rookie).
It can't be Atko, as btg does not rate, surely he wouldn't kick up a fuss for a rookie, so either Lonergan has walked or nothing.
Don't particularly care much if Lonergan walked, but it would certainly make us look like silly not taking Richmond's pick for Houli.

Ah, so you're not pissed about who's going, but why. Perhaps someone walking out on us or some sort of controversy leading to a contracted player being sacked...
If it was some big controversy, probably would've hit the papers by now?

So maybe Atko has walked out on us, being the only one unconctracted.

So you're only not happy with the reason.

I'm guessing we're doing it to pick someone up in the pre-season draft. That or the reason is that something was done by someone at the club that made a player want to leave.

You don't know Dean Rioli and you have no idea his circumstances, so in answer to that question, i'd say you don't know jack...

So its Atko? Because of Hickmott? What was the story there? Don't spill the sauce, just dish us some of the pie...

TBH I'd be a little disappointed, I would've liked to seen Atko given a shot on a wing, maybe provide a little depth for a couple of years. A mature body for if its needed.

Possibly we will be upgrading more rookies than just Howlett in the draft? Marigliani could probably fill the Atko role i mentioned. Maybe we've just assumed nobody else would be upgraded and its clouded our vision all along?

and you don't know me, but it hasn't stopped you making a judgement has it??

i don't care if you think i know jack or not, i'm just calling it how it is, and pointing out that unfortunately i've had to become a bit of an expert in how to manage long term issues with my knees, and how to keep fit without putting undue stress on those knees.

Logic suggests if a bloke of average talent, who doesn't have all the advantages and resources of being a full time footballer can find ways to exercise and keep fit that don't involve putting stress on his knees, then surely an afl player like Rioli who doesn't have to work can swim, kayak, do weights, walk, or whatever else he needs to do....and he didn't.

How much running do you think the average swimmer in the Australian team does?? Mostly it's bugger all, yet none of them are in the condition Rioli was in for most of his career are they????

I loved him as a player, but being honest i have to say was really dissapointed with the fact he rarely kept himself in the condition required to give himself the best chance of being out there and making a contribution, and therefore we all missed out....the club, the supporters, and Rioli.

It's a shame is all......
