Shit conditions but two golden chances missed, almost inexcusable. But at least we are still unbeaten in 8 now.

Valencia can **** off, lazy campaigner. Needed a striker in January, Mirallas out really hurt us

Well I said 2-1 to Boro, considering the conditions and a game of "what could have been's" for both sides - not the worst result.

Lookman/Lukaku our only chances and that header at the end by Boro was only stopped by an immense save by Joel.

would you rather we got into the top six in the prem?

or would you rather we were in a relegation battle
with koeman to blame?
I'd rather us stop drawing/losing to the trash. We are 4-4-1 against the current bottom 6 this year. Teams who want to be in the top 6 don't have that record.

so, getting back to the question, what would you rather happen?

Same team that started against Boro, McCarthy & Mirallas return to the bench. COYB, really need 3pts here & be ready for Spurs next week

sunderland have been one of our bogey teams.
so i am well happy with our win.
it will be interesting to see how we handle spurs next week.

Comfortable win against the Everton Reserves and it was nice to see Oviedo doing his bit to get us over the line :thumbsu:.

Next weeks game against Spurs will be a draw. Bookmark it Doctor Gero

Also, what a signing Schneiderlin has been! Man of the match a couple of times already

Hasn't even settled in yet but it frees up Barkley who looks to be back to some of his best

We shall see, we shall see.
You just worry about whoring yourself out to support Manure tonight :P

Where does everyone stand with regards to bringing Rooney back at the end of the season? Both sides have made noises via the press that they would be interested in linking up at the end of the season.

I always thought that if he did come back it would be under Gascoigne or Ginola circumstances when he was 35-36, totally finished and looking for a final payday. At 31 he should still have plenty of run left in the legs, although I must admit I don't have Optus Sport so don't know if his game/body is showing signs of aging due to him playing regularly minutes since 2002.

Every year there is talk of Rooney coming back to Everton.

Prefer to invest in youth.

As long as it's nowhere near his current salary, bring it on. But while you think that itself makes it doubtful, he turned down an easy mega paycheck from China to stay so who knows

For Rooney, 100k a week and score a goal against the Kopite, lift his shirt up saying "Once a blue, always a blue" and I don't care about anything else.

Extremely poor selection from Koeman today. Can't play Barry and Schneiderlin in the same side. Tottenham's defense is too good to play Lukaku one out against, Lookman needed to have started. Subs were too conservative as well. Cowered at the contest before it began.

Absolute pet hate is changing the formation of a team doing well. Don't necessarily have to keep the same line up, but swap like for like if needed for fitness. Absolute spanner in the works by having 3 players that generally play the same role. If anything Barry should have been left of a back 3 with Baines & Coleman as wing backs, but we played 4-3-1-1-1. Which is quite ******ed.
