Exciting times

Is it just me or am I the only one that thinks this is an exciting time to be a Collingwood supporter.

Back when mighty Mike first took over this club, and the playing list got completely turn over. It was a wonderful time to watch Collingwood, and see how our young players were going. To watch the next generation improve. An improve they did. Without the greatest players list we made two grand finals. The players played with great heart and spirit.

Now I see it all happening again. I am excited to watch the next generation of stars coming through. Rusling, H Shaw, B Shaw, T Cloke, C Cloke, Egan, Rowe, Iacobucci, Davidson. They could all be stars. They will be Collingwood next generations. Before people knock my inclusion off B Shaw. We must remember before his ankle injury, he had been playing injuried. Which has been affecting his form. B Shaw will come good.

To add to these exciting young players are R.Shaw, J Clement, S. Prestigiacomo, Rocca, Fraser, Licuria, Tarrant, Johnson and Didak. All of these players have great skill and are proven stars. I am excited to watch this team grow into the Collingwood superteam. We may lose most games this season and maybe stuggle next but after that sky the limit.

Sorry for not mentioning Burns, Wakelin and Buckley. I believe that these players will not be around for too much longer. When I think about the next great team I don’t see them being around. I would love for them to prove me wrong, as I love these players but age and injuries are catching up.

I am also excited to watch a lot more of Egan, C3, Yakka, Rowe, C2, Maxwell, Rusling, Heath & Brayden Shaw. Tom Davidson has a huge question mark over him now, but I am hoping he can get over his knee problems and play great footy for the Collingwood Football Club.

good call brad ,i badly want to see all 3 clokes make it and all the shaws as well.they have copped an absolute pasting for a while now, but we are starting to see some of the ability that these kids have got.

Maybe at the end of the year when we cut some deadwood and draft some genuinely good prospects i might allow myself some excitement.

Yes it is good to see the kids doing well but there ain't nothing to be happy about with the performance this year!. Sorry, but we should have been doing this years ago when we had a mediocre list that made it to the finals.
