Evolutionary theory attempts a holistic explanation that incorporates & relies upon many other fields/areas of study, that are well established....It's the over-arching 'grand-narrative' & conclusion I draw issue with....That somehow when you add all these factors together, it 'proves' the 'grand-narrative'....It doesn't.

This is in fact the fallacy of composition.

You & your scientific brethren would do well to start a simple course in logic....Suggest Aristotle's 'categories' as a good place to begin with.

Darwin was a war criminal and his theory based on suppressing most of the evidence. Some guy in here rekons he's aboriginal and if he is, he should know. It was his people Darwin participated in some pretty full on genocide against.

I understand that some rich guys running the British east indies company took a wad of cash to Charles Darwin and explained their problem. They explained to him they could get in a whole lot of trouble in court if they get caught slaughtering aboriginals and stealing their land and resources.

that does not in my understanding of evidence and extrapolation lead one to conclude that the entire theory of evolution is a crock of shit IMO. would still love to hear your thoughts on evolution as it is understood today lg.

i am confused, charles darwin died in 1882. he had a theory which has been refined and peer reviewed over the last 134 years to the point it is now. IMO if he was a genocidal maniac how does that impact the current consensus that is evolution via natural selection?

as for the global warming analogy, 98-99% of scientists agree with the global warming hypothesis.

i think we may have some agreement, i do not consider myself to be superior to anything else in the universe. this from a previous post of mine in this thread.

i could not bring myself to base my life around an institutionalized religious doctrine that has not provided any evidence of a creator, on the other hand i have met many people who say they are "spiritual" ie. they say they have a deep connection to the land, animals, other people, their community but churches, priests, rabbis, judgemental deities don't come into it. i can understand that, they embrace their very existence and the environment in which they live and respect it immensely.

if you read my signature that about sums up my thoughts on existence. i love that quote you linked. i just don't see a creator/god involved, i interpret creation in the quote as meaning the universe.

Which is why most scientific postulates remain 'open'; as new info can contradict the general assumption.
