Saints v Magpies looks the pick of the bunch to me. Good to see a few all EPL ties, means more of the lower clubs get through to the next round.

I always love the 3rd round of the FA Cup, there is bound to be drama in at least one match. I just hope it isn't at Yeovil this year. :(

Well remember what happened to Everton at Shrewsbury! :(

Not that you were immune, as Bolton and Bristol City did you in past years, and Wrexham (then bottom of the old Fourth Division!!) knocked Arsenal out. Amazingly, Brian Tinnion is still around at Bristol City and even in his older years playing well.

 Sad but true given the way things are going at our club

But I won't give up, I'm never one to do so because I believe in my club as much as ever.

SACK THE BOARD

Leeds and Aston Villa would fancy their chances against Arsenal and Manchester United.

The ties are on January 2/3, but that's in the middle of the crowded Christmas/New Years fixtures. United and Arsenal are looking at 4 Premiership matches within 15 days with the FA Cup ties in the middle of it. I would think that depending on how the Premiership results go, both Fergie and Wenger could be tempted to rest some key players for their FA Cup matches.

United host Everton on December 26, visit Boro on December 28, visit Bolton on January 7, and host Newcastle on January 10. Only the Everton game would be considered a "gimme" game.

Like we need to play Blackburn again any time soon! :( Not bothered about the Cup personally, 40 points and survival is all Blues need to be concerned about.

Kiddi v Wolves should be good, local derbies in the Cup always are. Nice to see the Vile will be making an early exit too. :D

Aaahh yes... Mat Le Tissier. One of if not THE most gifted players I've ever seen in my lifetime. So many of the brilliant goals he's scored live long in our memories...

Watford v Chelsea

We won't be taking this game lightly, especially after the narrow win against lower division side Reading in the Carling Cup...they took the game up to us and it was close...this game will be close too

:( Yeah I have tried for years to erase those horrible memories!
Seriously tho was a wonderful and loyal player of the ilk you rarely see these days. Pity about the team he played for tho!;)

One may remember about two years ago when Newton Heath stole a victory off us in the FA Cup 3rd Round that htey scarecely deserved. We were 2-0 up, 11 minutes left and Utd came back to win 3-2 with goals from OGS and a brace from substitute RVN.

Oh and the two pitch invasions from the United fans went unpunished. Yet Shinners and Stam and other Utd. goons still feel they are treated harshly by the FA. When this is a glaring example of the opposite.

Anyway Utd we'll be waiting and maybe this time your luck will run out at Villa Park. Every year we outplay you, ever year you get lucky. Remember a couple of years back we scored early against you guys controlled the game and you got a fortuitous equaliser in the 93rd minute..

We'll this is revenge, rest your stars if you wish, but do so at your own peril because the mighty Aston Villa will be waiting....

Did we really play you guys? FA Cup matches against Villa, practice games against Bury....it's hard to tell the difference these days.

Pitch invasion? They were merely fans racing onto the pitch to replace the divots that were lying everywhere after each of RVN's dives.

Er, you mean like the 4-0 last weekend?

DieGOAL scored two of them....oh the shame.

Um, no. Like I said, for United fans, games against Villa are about as significant as our off-season practice games against Bury.

The MIGHTY Villa are waiting for United?

I hear that Division One is waiting for *chuckles* MIGHTY Villa to arrive.

So funny, yet so true! :D

S****horpe. Just want to see if it does it again.

Yeovil have a magnificent giant-killing record as a non-league side, but that was at the old Huish ground, which sloped 8 feet from one end to the other. This new ground is supposed to be better. Go Yeovil! (And Spurs to beat Palace).

Sunderland v Hartlepool is a huge one in the North East. Very close neighbours from traditionally opposite sides of the Football League Divisions. So we don't play them all that often, so they will be pumped to get one over us.

Will probably be a sell-out at the SoL, and I'm going incognito if the Monkey Hangers manage to beat us
