Legendary - that's the term I was looking for.

Yeah it does - I did the same with the Rockyville Slugger and just modded it up to the circular saw version but kept the AP advantage.

I've got a couple of things like the gun that adds 50% damage to robots but it's a heap of shit hunting rifle and I'd like to move it to a better weapon. I've also got the chameleon arm from a legendary raider which has been ****en great, but as I'm moving along the armor isn't quite up to scratch.

Cheers
The only thing i hate about chameleon armour is what it does to your pip boy. You're invisible, but so is your pip boy and you can't see the bastard when you bring it up!

Otherwise it is great. I get what you are saying about some of the legendary armour not being up to scratch in terms of damage resistance, but here's a tip, don't sell that cool bit of chameleon gear, stick it in your workbench and level up a bit. The reason i say that is, if you choose to go a stealth build, like i am now, you don't really need damage resistance, cause no one ever sees you! But you need to up your perks like ninga, sneak and mr sandman to really make that sort of build a real killer (and get some awesome suppressed weapons like the deliverer).

I swapped out my sneaky gear for heavy combat armour for a while, and the damage resistance was great, but now i've dumped all the heavy armour and equipped all legendary items. I have a sprinter leg that makes me move quicker, a chameleon leg, a arm that increases my vats chance, and another arm that increases my attack points by 15%. Now i just sneak into a room, queue up 14 vats shots with my suppressed pistol and kill every mofo in there before they know what hit them.

One thing i found out last night when looking into my stealth build is that mr sandman in this game isn't just about killing sleeping people, it adds damage to sneak kills with suppressed weapons! Add full mr sandman and ninja, and you do 5.3x damage for sneak hits. So my 52 damage deliverer pistol does 275 damage a shot! And i can queue up about 12 of them per vats session. Mass murder!

Apparently deacons perk increases that sneak damage even more so currently working on that

Some of the damage stacking in this game's kinda insane

Got an instigator's hunting rifle, double damage when they are on full health. Turned it into a sniper rifle, which is perfect for me. Ninja, mister sandman, bloody mess, rifle man. One shotting most things on very hard, might switch to survival

Need to up my luck for better criticals, dammit, should've put more in luck at the start
better crits and critical banker turns you into a death machine with stealth kills

HAHA yeah indeed the pipboy going invisible is a bit shite - I end up standing up to find what I need to and using it then crouching again to attack!

Fair point though, don't need the armour if your planning on not getting seen. I'm only level 19 and haven't begun investing in the armour crafting stuff just yet so I'll need to keep this all in mind. Only just started getting my head around the weapon mods the past couple of days so slowly slowly for my little brain with this kind of stuff.

Sneaking rocks with Mr Sandman and Ninja.

I've got a silenced 10mm with 10 points plasma damage - when you combine that with maxed gunslinger, ninja and Mr Sandman it's pretty awesome.

Also pretty awesome to get 5.3x damage when sneaking with silenced 308 Overseer's Guardian or legendary silenced 50 cal sniper that fires two projectiles.

Some of my adventures last night in my new role as Sneaky Mancey

This is a Legendary Deathclaw that just popped up out of nowhere in a basement! But...i was in sneak mode so he never saw me. 12 shots with the deliverer into the legs, including a couple of banked criticals, and he was helplessly crawling in the floor. Simply went up and popped him in the head.

Note his poor ole busted legs. Your arse puckers up a bit sneaking up into pistol range with these suckers!

I have Deacon looking like a boss now. Blood is a nice touch. If you want to go sneaky, he's an awesome companion

Also decided to check out the alien crash site

Its a random event...generally doesn't occur until you're at least in the 20's, sometimes much later. Some talk it may be related to luck stat.

Crash site is always in the same spot though, easy enough to google

At some stage you'll see a fire trail go across the sky as the ship is crashing. I saw it early on, while near Boston common.

Once you see that, go to the crash site and get the goodies

Well I've found the comic book so hopefully it comes up for me.

What rack stores the lunch boxes?
Any rack, but you have to drop them individually or it only shows up as one if you drop multiples simultaneously (i think).

I don't think there is any way to do it neatly like the mags

Pre war money is the same i think. If you drop all of it, it shows as one stack. but if you drop multiples of say, 10, it also shows as 1 stack. Mate was saying how he has a drug lord room with stacks of pre war cash in it haha

5 minutes into my first play today and I discover a settlement - ding ding level 20. 2 minutes later ship comes crashing out of the sky.

Yeah was pretty lucky after only discussing it today.

Stoked you can mod the ray gun so you're not limited by the initial ammo. I remember saving it in NV until the Caeser's right hand with the massive sword mashed me about 20 times in a row; then decided to try something different and melted him with the ray gun first go.

Full set of legendary armour now with a variety of very useful effects. Have a chameleon arm for invisibility when crouched and stationary, sprinters leg to move faster, a vats assisted arm to increase chances of hits in vats, a powered chest plate that regens action points faster, and maybe my favourite, a martyrs arm that slows time when you get below 20% health! So handy.

The martyrs arm looks like crap, its a big ugly welded and bolted thing with bars on it. But time slowing down when your health is low is awesome, you can get a few quick hits in buffjet style, hotkey your stimpack and keep trucking. Only time i die now is unexpected explosives like mines and missiles

Early days of this game was getting quite shat off with how much of a battering the raiders could take when I first when to the Corvega plant. Got quite annoyed that they'd take at least 3 buck shots to drop.

Went back this morning on another mission for the crazy robots and if I wasn't taking their heads clean off with the 50 Cal Violent sniper rifle then my modded 10mm pistol was dropping them in 2 bullets. I've always enjoyed going back through parts in games where I was initially getting my arse whooped after levelling up and then breezing through it.

Haha, exact same deal at exact same location last night. Did an early minuteman mission there and it was a real struggle. Went back last night for the railroad and I killed them all with the deliverer and tinker tom special. They didn't even see me
