Is anyone with me when I say that FO3 is a better game, for it's way better lore, more in depth conversations and better skill point system, and that NV is far superior to both as an RPG?

I've put more time into 4 than the other two already, but it doesn't feel like the previous Fallout games.

It's weird coz I think purely due to being so much more user friendly, 4 has managed to get me to do more things. NV, though I enjoyed the setting and story so much more, was clunky so I didn't want to put as much time into it.

I guess they kinda dumbed it down to make it more appealing for a bigger audience. Which I don't think is a bad thing, coz I'm not a big RPG man myself.

4 is a great game in it's own right, the world is great, it's cool seeing a FO game in HD, but from a FO perspective...it's just not FO.

As someone who's put over a hundred hours into all of em, f4 stands up ok.

Shooting mechanics out of vats is finally a realistic option in 4, it was just frustrating in the other 2. NV had a more satisfying conclusion than 4, so did 3 but it was over in 5 minutes.

Level cap in 3 was also ridiculously low.

Never going to bad mouth a game i put 100+ hours into. 4 will be a classic, dlc will hopefully enhance that status

Haven't seen the UFO yet...is it a random one time thing?
Chance you missed it. As I said ages ago in this thread, I could never actually see it (I heard it though and it initiated a little chat) as the time it flew over was during a storm and I couldn't see it past the clouds (tried multiple reloaded saves), but it always crashes in the same spot.

It flew overhead at Trinity Plaza. It was pretty hard to miss as it roars and is spitting fire and smoke. Nick even said "what the hell was that" or something.

That said, if you were in a firefight or something it would be easy to miss.

Just youtube it, go to the location. If it ain't there, keep leveling up and it will happen eventually.

There's a theory that the time it takes to appear is linked to your luck stat. I had 8 luck and it appeared mid 20's

Must say i didn't use the blaster much (at all)

Thinking about it there was a large amount of weapons I found but never used:

Cryolater
Broadsider
Railway gun
Junk Jet
Syringer
All of the pipe weapons

What's everybody's most used gun and shit hits the fan gun?

Mine would be the 10mm pistol which ended up being the Deliverer and the auto plasma rifle with +25% damage.

Railway gun
I'm glad I didn't find this one in my main play through. Was OP as shit. I did use it in one of my replays to get the trophy though.

What does OP mean?
AS above, over powers.

I did like, and I am not sure if this was a bug, or just where the body parts ended up, but a lot of the time the head ended up nailed to a wall which was cool.

Nah it's not a bug.

Why did you replay the game if you didn't like it?

Replayed just the different endings to get the plat.

Yeah i never used pretty much any of those except for a few quick laughs when i first picked them up. Also didn't use the minigun, laser gatling, missile launcher, fat boy (except for the odd time when i had picked one up and came accross a sentry bot or something). I didn't spec up on heavy weapons so basically never used them. They took up too much room in your inventory and i never used power armour. Also never used mines

By the end i was just carrying the deliverer, overseer guardian, recon scoped assault rifle and a gauss rifle. All fully modded for max damage

The gauss rifle was the shit hit the fan gun. With all the power mods and fully leveled rifleman it made the railway rifle look like a pea shooter. I could 2 shot anything insta dead, including BoS soldiers in power armour/sentry bots etc

I used pipe weapons at the start for sure. They were everywhere and it allowed you to diversify your ammo when it was a bit scarce. Obviously as I progressed i had ammo up the ying yang

I think the only time I used the minigun was when you first get it in Concorde. Other than that - meh. I modded all of them up and kept them in the work shop in case I wanted then later.

I did buy the Big Boy from Arturo, which shot 2 nukes for the price of one. I kept that on me all the time but only time I used it was doing the last mission (twice).

In the end I had equipped:

Assault rifle with fire damage
Deliverer
Eddie's Piece
Auto laser with +25 bleed damage
Auto plasma with +25% damage
Auto plasma with +50 radiation damage
Big Boy
Gauss with ignore 30 points of resistance
Bladed baseball bat with AP perk

All fully modded. The auto laser with bleed was actually one of my best guns.

I had strong back and lone wanderer so had heaps of excess carry weight.
