Survival mode is alot of fun. Started a new game with survival mode. Most fun ive had playing fallout

Any tips you can give a fellow gamer playing in to Survival Mode.

I am tossing up starting a new game using this mode, but some of the things I heard concern me lol
- your damage impact to the NPC and AI is halved (so their HP isn't increased).
- Any meds you take impact your hydration (so Rad Away and stimpaks should be spared as much as possible)
- You have to plan your journey big time as there is no fast travel (so if you finish a quest you gotta walk back and take rests as no sleep impacts your intelligence and agility).
- Enemies dont pop up on the pipboy/maps so your basically walking blind.

Home plate is a massive waste of time, I bought it, built a few things from whatever i could scrap in there, left and haven't been back since.
Its not bad as a single pad. I prefer it as things dont fall through the racks or shelves.

You should be able to expand and add onto it though

Im pretty sure there are a shit load more sleeping bags and mattress' scattered across the wasteland now. I usually go about 20 minutes then find another one hey.

I made a self sufficient settlement at red rocket, and use that as my base. I started a brand new game and loaded up on strength as you can only carry 140(ish), and ammo and aid have weight points now aswell.

Its pretty good, you choose your fights now, like if you see a heap of super mutants early just run. Stimpaks also make you dehydrated.

Codsworth is the best companion, he gives you water and is brutal with its melee attacks. I just send him in to do the dirty work.

Anyone going to get back into this when they enable the PS4 mods? Had a little look through the available ones so far, not really anything interesting unfortunately :(

It's what I'm waiting for. As soon as mods hit, I will get back into it and play all the DLC.

If I buy the DLC now will it integrate into my current save?

So now that we've had a year to settle down on this, where does everyone rate this? Mainly looking for answers from those who also played 3 & NV.
I can already see that most who have played the older games first will prefer them to 4. Im differently since I started with 4 but I'm certainly in the minority haha

I enjoyed 4, but not to 3 levels for me.

That said, 3 is one of my favorite games so it's not a huge knock.

3 is my favourite. I like New Vegas but I don't think it is as great as what a lot of people make it out to be.

I haven't really played 4 a hell of a lot but I am finding myself struggling to find the motivation to play it. It hasn't really done anything for me yet.
