They said you can play solo, bloody sooks
You can, but it's not solo in the true sense. You still have to always be online to play and there are still 11 other people on the same server that can shoot and kill you at any moment ASWELL as the standard beasts, robots, ghouls and most likely raiders.

Got a source for this?

Why, what could possibly go wrong in this scenario!?

Tbh, doesn't really bother me too much. People really just like to complain for the hell of it. There would likely be the same number of people complaining if it was entirely offline.

They will probably do Diablo 3 style Online...

You CAN play Solo, but you MUST have internet connection, so that if you DO go online all your progress easily transfers. Like, you flick an option on and bam, everyone else is populated into your world. Or more accurately, you are transported to the Vault in the Online sense of the game world.

Id assume its going to be a BLOODY big game world, if its sort of going to be a pseudo MMO.

Not sure that is correct at all.

From what I've read you can have the solo experience without having to interact with others.

After all, that's the only reason to play video games.

I liked and finished Fallout 4 but wasn't really interested in another Fallout game so wasn't sure about getting this at first.

When they announced that this was online and everything that went along with that I was right back in. Already looking forward to this now and it should be a lot of fun playing with a few mates.

300$ for a plastic voice changing helmet? Rather get rdr2 collectors box with no game ha.

Will look fantastic on my shelf next to my pipboy

I'm guessing here but the c.a.m.p feature and the fact that he said you can move your base makes me think you set up the c.a.m.p build and when you log you pack up the c.a.m.p and don't have to worry about someone stealing your shit. Come back drop the c.a.m.p and continue on your way.

Cautiously optimistic. Single player (which is my play style preference) seems like it could be a very lonely world.

Would like a sort of pacifist multiplayer mode where you can just concentrate on building and exploring by yourself but be able to interact with others and their settlements without killing each other.
