I guess you have to ask EB for the code once it’s available?

I sent their support an email to see what the g o is, no rush since bethesda haven't even announced dates yet.

Would assume in the next month or so run for a bit then close so they can make final changes before full release

Expect a 40gig day 1 patch like every other Bethesda game regardless

Yeah the patch upgrade going to be fun waste of a day

I'm pretty sure it has no human NPC's only some robots and no quests.

This is more like an Ark, The Forest, Rust than an actual Fallout 3, NV, 4 with online.

Yeah has been confirmed since that no human NPC.

Plenty of quests they are just given by robots, from drops, holotapes or trigger from the environment or your actions. Instead of being given quests by npcs

One of the first things they said was there is a full story with quests some of which are repeatable.

Ive just started another playthrough of Fallout 3. Havent touched it since 2010.

I hopped on at 9pm, and just realised it's 1.40am.

I got some weird quest about getting the Declaration of Independence. The area was protected by Protectrons names after the original signers. I convinced one I was Thomas Jefferson (speech) to hand it over to me. I told him the 1776 war was over and he stood down with his men.

I hope this kind of shit is in Fallout 76.

  • Reiterated that they don't want the game to be just PVP, but that people can RP as anything they want. Just like running into a group of hostile raiders in Fallout 4, you might run into hostile players. They might also be traders, or just wastelanders. The difference is the game won't tell you. You have to discover their intentions for yourself.
[*]You never lose your progression or stuff. Death is not supposed to be a big negative.
[*]You can't nuke each other. You can nuke an area of the map. This will warn nearby players who have time to leave if they want. You can't target an individual.

[*]Getting nukes isn't easy - finding all the pieces first, and then accessing the launch site is not as easy as walking in.

[*]Nukes have some quest related plot for why the exist and why they should be used. For a period of time they create a high level zone, they're designed for endgame resource gathering.

[*]You want people acting as raiders, traders, settlement builders, nomads to fill up the game world.

[*]There's a "revenge system" - an incentive for killing someone who killed you. Not many details on this.

[*]The game will change constantly - first in beta then at release and afterwards based on player feedback.

[*]Stuff from one character (progression and items) stays with that character across any server.

    [*]Can have multiple characters.

[*]Bethesda are playing the game internally "for the next month" so the BETA may not be any time in July.

[*]Free small and large DLC and new content after launch.
Also from a different interview, when you sneak your marker disappears from the map!

Having a hard time grasping how this will work. The game doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. The survival part of the game seems redundant if there's no losses on death. I wonder how people will intend to role play as trader style characters while 1) having fun and 2) not getting dunked on immediately by what will probably a majority of people who will be happy to kill them. How will the game world fill up with different types of player characters if there's only like 24 players per server?

Genuinely curious to see this game in action because I have NFI what it's gonna play like.
