It was two very good shows, some of the most successfull sketch comedy shows world wide. Previously we saw the Comedy Company ect, the list goes on. Recently the Seven Network axed a failing unfunny Let Loose Live programme which was intended to be a spin off from the US hit Saturday Night Live.

Which show did you prefer and find funny?

Personally I thought Fast Forward was by far funnier. With actors such as: Steve Vizard, Michael Veitch, Peter Moon, Steve Blackburn, Glenn Robbins, Geoff Brooks and the "Famous Four" Magda Szubanski, Gina Riley, Jane Turner and Marg Downey were far funnier that Full Frontal's lesser actors.

Full Frontal picked up were Fast Forward left off, and Eric Bana was clearly the star of the show.

Quick question for fans, does anybody remember why Fast Forward finished in November 1992?

Personally I've never EVER liked shaun micallef, and i've heard he is quite arrogant too

I have to go with Full Frontal but thats not really an educated decision. I was too young for Fast Forward but have since seen the DVDs and they are hilarious but i remember growing up i loved Full Frontal. Was an absolutely awesome show so it gets the nod from me.

Full Frontal. Both shows are great but the only thing that separates both shows would be when Full Frontal had Shaun Micallef, John Walker, Francis Greenslade, Kitty Flanagan and Diana Ried with the famous continual skits such as the Netty Show, annnn, Fabio's Love Tips and Milo Kerrigan. That was the peak of Full Frontal.

Fast Forward though could lay claim to setting up a generation of comedians such as Steve Vizard (now in politics I know), Glenn Robins, Peter Moon, Ernie Dingo (first season), Magda Szubanski, Jane Turner, Gina Riely (the latter three making Kath & Kim which included most Fast Forward stars).

So, based entirely on that 1 season of Full Frontal I voted Full Frontal because every other season, though being great, couldn't match that season.

I now know I've watched too much Comedy Channel :p

Full frontal.Best segment was the Ray Martin bit , with all the characters in the audience.Best actor on there was Ross Williams , he did some good work talking fast like in the restuarant skits and the horse racing ones.

Fast Forward was easily the better of the two, with the late Eighties being peak time for Australian comedy.
One particular sketch remains fondly etched in my memory, regarding the Multi Function Polis in Adelaide not long after this plan was announced. Absolute classic.

Was that with the little song and all? Hilarious stuff!!

Oh, and for me, FAST FORWARD all the way!! Brilliant show.

Fast Forward, when Steve Vizard and Peter Moon did a p-ss take on "Kung Fu". Especially the scene that had Vizard literally crying from laughing, but attempting to hold it in, that went-

Moon: "Yes, donkey d1ck?"
Vizard: "Thats grasshopper, Master"

It had me in stitches.

I'd have to go with Fast Forward, although I didn't mind Full Frontal either.

Kelvin Cunnington (the dorky guy with the silly laugh who worked at Eastpac Bank played by Michael Veitch) used to make me p*ss myself laughing at some of the stuff he came out with. :D
They had some great skits on that show.

I loved watching Full Frontal for Eric Bana's impressions of Ray Martin and Glen Ridge :D

Both very funny but Fast Forward had that De-gen flavour with Veitch's Kelvin character. Loved Vizard's Hinch send ups and Marg Downey as Jana Wendt interviewing Gerry Connolly as Joh Bjelke Petersen .... 'You're wrong Jana'

There was Michelle and Ferret, the creepy swinging couple, the Dodgy brothers, the gay airline stewards, Gina Riley's brilliant video clip ripoffs. I agree too that the Moon/Vizard first Kung Fu skit was priceless stuff, I laughed just as hard as them.

Oh and before I forget, Bruce Ruxton does Romper Room. 'Get out of it, you bloody bee'. :D

Fast Forward was revolutionary stuff. Came hot on the heels of the Comedy Company but was infinitely better. The way they cut from scene to scene, ad to ad, funny credits etc, it was so original.

Fast Forward just ahead of Full Frontal, but they are very ordinary when compared to The D-Gen Late Show on the ABC.

Oh, and don't knock Shaun Micallef. Hillarious guy and no, he isn't arrogant.
