Mark Ricciutto for me, I was very disappointed when he retired, he was a truly damaging player and typified everything that a captain should. He was a true role model and was a no nonsense footballer. To have a brownlow medal to add to his long list of accolades shows how great he was.

My biggest qualm to date is that I have a number 32 on the back of my crows guernsey, I was worried about who would take it over. But it turns out that I can very comfortably strut around with my #32 jumper as my new favourite player has that very same number.

Dangermouse is my new favourite player, he is fast, skillful, very strong and courageous and will definately bring the same attributes to the club that Mark Ricciutto did.

He also has some stiff competition with Walker, Ottens, Mackay, Tippett all coming along nicely.

Went for Edwards, as I was a massive fan of him even before he made his debut, although I seriously considered Modra as well. At the end it came down to whose number I first look to wear and considering I wore 37 at school and always look for number 9, I thought I'd better put Tyson down.

Some of those clips of young Roo you could substitute with some of Danger's from this year and no one would notice the difference bar the filthy mullet.

Was just about the post the same thing. Dangerooofield.

Modra

Definately Jarman for mine because of his unbelievable talent and they way in which he won the '97 GF when it was there to be won!! but McLeod also is up there seeing he won those Norm Smiths and played absolutely brilliant in the big games. But Roo, Edwards, Hart all the rest are still truly fantastic

well, i had to select 'other'.. vardy has been my favourite player to watch.. used to go out the front of the house, kicking snaps around my body from weird angles, pretending to be him.. i remember half time of the 98 grand final when we were losing, i went out the front to kick for goal, and every goal i would kick, would mean thats how many adelaide would kick in the 2nd half..

its fair to say.. it worked..

Ok ok.

3 games come to mind of which i was there to witness and three players who captured my imagine and dominated the game.

Andrew McLeod - 1998 Preliminary Final - One thing that many people forget about and cannot believe when hearing about. Andrew amazingly kicked 7 goals in an absolute drubbing of the Western Bulldogs. I can't remember a better, more silky game from any midfielder in recent times, from any club.

Darren Jarman - 1997 Grand Final - 3rd quarter. That enough said? WOW. Won us the game and some of the stuff he pulled off was just remarkable. People are talking about Porps getting close. I think you should watch that game again and realise just some of the stuff he could do.
- I remember him doing look-away kicks a lot during the 97. haha

Mark Riccuito - Might be some what of a random game for some but Round 4 2001 really stands out. It was the wettest day i have seen at the footy personally and we were 0-3. Riccuito was very quiet until the last half when he somehow stepped up and somehow managed to kick four goals. His will to win and strength just stood out. It was one of the most exciting games and we managed to win by nine poiints.

Voted for Lippy. Mods, Roo and Macca right up there but I absolutely loved Matty Liptak. I loved the way he played and being a teenage girl in high school in the early 90's - from a superficial point of view thought it was awesome that he was good looking, playing footy for the crows and a doctor (having wanted to do medicine and now being a doctor myself)

Lippy was a bit of a whipping boy back in the day as well. Was stoked when he won the 96 club champion award. Shattered he missed those flags through injury. Aaah memories of the footage of Lippy and Mods "racing" onto the ground on crutches to celebrate with the boys after the 97 grand final.:)

I have an old style long sleeved guernsey with the number 27 on the back. Had to wait a very long time for someone to take that guernsey that I was happy to have their number on my back. Scotty Stevens has done quite nicely.:thumbsu:

Still remember Dougie Hawkins commentary in that game "I questioned the decision to put this bloke in the All Australian team but he's been sensational"

1. Scotty
2. John Klug
3. Trigger
4. Scott Lee

I went with Roo for a number of reasons.

however Darren Jarman to me was like Shane Warne is to cricket, you'd tune in just to see what he does. I think Taylor Walker or Dangerfield are going to turn into that type of player. Porplyzia is a gun but as I'm starting to get old, no one compares to Darren Jarman but he still comes in 2nd cause he played for Hawthorn too :D

Has to be Mods for me. As a young'un growing up in the height of Modra Madness i was obsessed with the bloke. A lot of people went off him in as they got older but he stayed my hero until the end. I was also one of those devastated at the thought of him going to Freo.

It's because of Modra and Jarman that i started to support the crows. But i don't think i've felt as passionately for any player like i did for ROO.
