You've gotta dumb the aussieness down a bit so everybody can understand ya! I lived in Columbus for 2 years and you can't not live in that city and LOVE ohio state. It's love em or get the sh*t beat out of ya if ya don't simple as that.
That is because you have either never been to a college game at a big time university against a big rival or because you're a stupid sh1t.
The only game you are going to see at the Horseshoe that is equivalent to the weekly environment in the SEC is the UM-OSU game.
By the way, what game did you see? Or are you going to school there? How are you getting your footy fix?
My family used to have seats on the lower level, 2nd row, at the 45yd line on the Georgia side. But when they reconfig'ed the points system for alumni a couple years ago we lost them...

I go to school in Kennesaw so no football of any kind (well, there is soccer) to speak of here. The internet is my friend when it comes to the footy, I don't have satellite for Setanta though that is an option I may pursue next year.

I started picking up US slang from day one. My family also say on the phone that I am starting to sound American.

Uh oh! I've been here almost three years and I am yet to start sounding American. I've met a few Aussies here and most of them still have fairly broad accents so maybe you're one of those folks who is prone to gaining and losing accents.
Some of the slang sucks, so i tend not to use it

I say I also support USC Trojans becasue they're in a conferance that can actually make the national championship game, but I just cant keep up that lie of supporting them

also like Appalachian State due to their win over Michigan and I still like them a little and have followed their progress through the 1-AA playoffs. In the semi's this week against undefeated Montana.

Northwestern Wildcats.
Managed to get a ticket to the 96 Rose Bowl game against USC when holidaying in LA (ticket was about 10 rows from the fence on the 50 yd line). Just happened to meet up with Northwesterns Pat Fitzgeralds (all-american Linebacker) family at the hotel i was staying at and spent the day with them tailgating before the game and then going to the players after party at the team hotel. Got to meet Darnell Autry (all-american RB) and Coach Barnett. Even managed to get a signed jersey from Pat Fitzgerald which hangs proudly on my wall. Was even interviewed by ESPN and the Chicago Tribune newspaper as a token Aussie at the game!
