Haven't been a fan of the other stuff I've read of hers, but can't disagree with much there.

when a (male) commentator saw fit to ask Canadian player Eugenie Bouchard to "give us a twirl and tell us about your outfit". The startled 20 year old complied, surely out of shock rather than enthusiasm, and then promptly buried her face in her hands and gave an embarrassed laugh.

Imagine the absurdity of asking Tomas Berdych (currently ranked number 7 in the men's singles) to "give us a twirl and tell us about your outfit". Can you see that happening?

A male player would not be asked to do a twirl, because he would not make fashion comments about another players outfit, which is what Bouchard did about Serena Williams on twitter. Horses for courses.

She is not as bad as the other Clem. Bastow. Who wrote a piece that there are too many white male genius movies. All of which tend to have featured men with severe mental or physical disabilities (Nash and Hawking). Or in Turing's case, gay and hounded to his death. Why is she so cis-abled?

I know which group I'd want to belong to the least out of the non-white, female and disabled. A strong black woman is one of the richest people in the world. Disabled people end up on the streets.
