i need to get myself some dropcrotch harem pants. evo 's jodhpurs just wont cut it.

i like how ian cohen asked the canuck tennis player to do a twirl and tell us what she was wearing. he forgot her handle is genie. so she cums out of a bottle. Clementine would know this.

Cohen does not have the brio nor does he have the elan, of hamish mclachlan. he has brio. hammer has elan. he is.... romping wings.

Cohen is more like romping wigs.

Can't believe the fuss over Twirlgate. It's like some people kid themselves that women's tennis isn't about pretty girls in short skirts.

eh, not quite the same .. but anyway.

and i was not insinuiting it was a mirror reflection of the same dynamic.

as long as you have women AND men buying into a Brownlow red carpet, it seems to me this hue and cry over some microphone monkey just doing what Hamish Mclachlan and his mates in the management room demand, it is picking on the wrong guy. symptom, not the cause. Cohen is a cheap target.

sure.... but those women go to the red carpet knowing what the deal is... they get to pick the dress, hair done, whatever...

Tennis player, is there to play tennis. She didn't sign up to be twirled for the world to admire clothing that she pretty much has to wear.

So how would you react if another woman out of the blue complimented, asked and showed interest in the outfit you're wearing?

BS. she did not have to sign a million dollar per, with incentives, with Nike.

Nike pay her a million dollars. This is annual. She will be paid more as she rises the ladder. She is about 8th in the world i think.

She will be paid much more, see: how much the Williams sisters have been paid by sponsors.

Nike will give he a dress that they want return on for her million a year. So she is party to the request by Ian Cohen. She could wear a different dress/skirt/shirts/t-shirt, with the brand stickied over, and the label on her shoes stickied over. Then she does not have to play this game.

Ian Cohen is just playing the other side of the coin to her Nike sponsored corporal cloak.

he is not the bad guy. She is not guilty neither (pleonasm). But if you want money from Nike, it is not a philanthropy for a tennis player

huh? As I have done, I'd say thank you.
The other day I wore a new dress to work, my colleague commented that I looked nice. I said thanks. No, he didn't offend me.
He also didn't ask me to twirl.

I suppose she could have knocked back the million.
I suppose no one has to wear the advertising, and I suppose Nadal et al, one day, will be asked to twirl too.
{honestly, its not a big deal to me.. but it seems it made her feel uncomfortable ...& that is the point. She was the one who had to all of a sudden twirl after completing her job)

I don't think it would have mattered whether the guy was older or younger, it's just a bit of a bizarre question to ask in a post match interview. I just don't think it's particularly tasteful to ask her to twirl. The context does help you understand what happened further though. He talked about Serena's outfit, asked Bouchard to twirl in a kind of joking manner. I don't know. I don't think it should have been asked but I also don't think that it is some catastrophic horrible event either.

Havent read the other Clem. Although I rag on Ms Ford, truth be known if I happened to meet her, I'd probably get on with her just fine. She seems fairly clever and I'm sure she has pretty good banter.

On which group one would want to belong to, surely no-one actually believes that women don't have a shit load of power these days. Most guys are weak. They'll happily work 50 hours+ a week, in a job they dont particularly like, and for decades on end, just for the privilege of getting their leg over a couple of times a week with someone who nags them daily.

Hence the exponentially growing worldwide phenomenon of MGTOW. Many men are doing a cost/benefit analysis when it comes to marriage, LTR's and shacking up and seeing that it's not worth it, and thus foregoing this for a life of chosen bachelorhood. Some chose minimal interaction with women that can't be avoided, like in the professional environment, and some choose the root'n'boot game. No matter which of these men choose, both involve not using their resources on women. These men give women the equality they've been crying out for and make them pay their own way.

If men think western women aren't the way to go and instead think Asian women are the answer because they're supposedly different, here's a little taste of Asian hypergamy.

Are we pretending that an act of objectification of a male by a female is as harmful as the other way around?
is not it just zeitgeist.

we have the bouncing cabs in noir films, with the protagonist couple passengers in the back, and we have females smoking in noir.

sex sells. i did not make the rules. one cannot push culture either way.

I found it distasteful, just like I find Hamish McLachlan on red carpets.

but I also find Clementine Ford ( evo 's young midlife crisis squeeze) distasteful making this a bigger issue than it is, and decontextualising it. Cohen learns from McLachlan who is a darling of Channel7, now he is an evil old man? Sam Newman aint even an evil old man, he is just risible and if you put any stock in what he says, you are engaging a fool. 1st rule of engaging fools.

mountain

molehill.

lets say, Cohen used fashion idiom to request a profile aspect, and a reverse aspect of your flattering Nike costume?

lets say Cohen was just less clumsy in his words...

but these are sports reporters we are talking about. We are not demanding a sports reporter be the polymath from Parkville or the political science cultre theory grad from ANU in Canberra.

Cohen is not the fault (grammar), and Genie Bouchard or however you spell her name, is also innocent. But to use some clumsy phrasing to inflame this feminist embrolgio iz at fault. I blame evo's boyfriend girlfriend clementine

Who's to say one's worse than the other. How can you judge it on purely gender basis? You can only judge it on how the individual feels.
I would suggest harmful is the incorrect adjective/qualifier.

If Genie did not wish to do it, she could have denied the request, or asked Cohen to take his shirt off.

Genie should feel appreciative she did not get McLachlan asking to bed her then on centre court, then run over her in his LExus SUV screaming roming wings

Tennis is a sport where a man who looks like Damien Peverill is drooled over by women because he can afford Rolexes.
