any chance of seeing either of these guys in the senior line up in the near future?
im not a saints fan, im a pies man....you guys will wallop us....but yeah just wondering what saints fans think of these two guys

cheers

Fergy was close to cracking a game. Might not get a game though for a while yet. Gram got over a injury, playing reserves. Might not see him either for a while.

From what I've seen I'd agree with Munga.

Ferguson has impressed me for Springvale. It's a real shame that he's not an extra two or three feet taller because he is an incredibly strong overhead mark for his size. The club have attempted to turn him into a half back flanker and he looks good in the role although two weekends ago against Frankston he played as a key forward and took quite a few marks both on the lead and in a contested situation.

Gram is coming back from the a hamstring injury and I'd have him behind Montagna, Peckett and Moyle for a midfield berth at this stage. He's got the potential to be in our best 22 and hopefully we'll get to see it in the coming weeks.

Yeah, Imagine him at 9 feet tall! He'd be unstoppable! Not so mobile, but in marking contests, he'd be amazing :)

Been followiung the fortunes of Gram myself.
He played the first Wizard Cup match and was a solid contributer until he injured a thigh. I estimate he would have played senior games had he not been injured.
Played an excellent first game for Springvale after he got over the injury, but hasn't been among the best since then.
Used as a midfielder at Brisbane, but being groomed for the backline at St Kilda. Has a great kick and good endurance and I'd expect his debut shortly after the bye weekend.

thanks guys

i played junior footy against Ferg, he was a dead set gun with one of the best leaps and best marks and you could tell early on he would make the AFL

i hope they both get a crack before season end

I'll try again. ;)

It's a real shame that he's not an extra two or three inches taller because he is an incredibly strong overhead mark for his size.

Frankly both your statements are spot on.

I think they'll both struggle to break into the side.

waiting in the wings is frankie, lenny, black, moyle, sam fischer, brooks, muzza etc who are probably ahead of fergie and gram in the next couple of weeks.

while the saints side is not brilliant, they are playing confidently
