Surely will come up any minute now because I have had the day off, and now my girlfriend is coming home early from work.... meaning no FIFA time.

Yeah, it's definitely a better experience than FIFA 10. Although I haven't played it too much, these are my initial impressions:

- The gameplay is a lot more fluid and organic
- Tackling/Jostling system is not as contrived, and rather, feels much more natural to use
- Ping pong passing cannot be pulled off to the same degree, given that passes from players who are off-balance tend to be slower and less precise
- Off the ball movement from players seems to be better than in previous iterations of the game
- The pitch looks really good

That's it for now, but overall I'd say it's a much more realistic experience than the last FIFA game.

can anyone explain how getting these chants on the ps3 will work. Will it just be a matter of down loading straight to your playststion or will it be from pc to ps3. As you can tell Im not overly computer savy. Cheers

Agree with this. It's a pretty 'real' experience, definitely an improvement on Fifa 10. My only gripe would be that it's a little slow, but I am assuming we'll be able to speed it up when the game is released.

Looking forward to it - looks like another top shelf product.

Whats pro passing anyway? Is it just developed into the game or can you turn it off.

Messi seems slow by the way.
You seem to lose the ball very easy. I might have to end up start playing on an easy difficulty to adjust to it.


adding this as they come, i will most likely cry about heaps of stuff before loving it, and its only a demo anyway.
Being a GK is really really fun though.

Even though you've already downloaded it. It will be out on the Aus store most likely early Friday morning, for those who don't have 5 minutes to make an account...

Pro Passing is built in (so no you can't turn it off, you can turn the options on to have it assist your more and so forth though). It's basically just a realistic passing system in which every action has a reaction and the way you are set up, the skill of your player, every real world asset comes into play. Making it a more realistic style of passing and making everything it less of a 'ping pong' style of movement up the field. Once you get used to it and just adapt to the play it will feel more normal (as happens with each iteration with new gameplay implementations).

It's a system that is definitely for the better of the game as you will have the lower skilled players (and I'm talking controlling players, not in game players) fumbling and bumbling it more while the higher skilled players will also just have to watch that they're steadied and ready to pass before moving it on.

Fair enough, good points there. Slowly getting used to it, and will definitely weed out those online/offline mates you have that just use the ping pong passing system (got a lot of them) should be interesting to see how they'll handle it. I am slowly getting used to it....mainly due to the fact Chelsea are great on the game. Juventus are pretty terrible, Barca were OK but Chelsea were great.

3 mins is an ever so slight improvement but it'd be great to have 5 min halves, but only like 2 weeks till it comes out.

LOL, EA are implementing a new Ref personality system to this year as well.

They say that each ref will have their own personalities in that some might be strict and basically every tackle gets penalised or they'll be super lenient and only blow the whistle on the downright ugly tackles.

I basically only do standing tackles unless I'm desperate nowadays, but it's frustrating as hell when you give away a free kick just outside the box with a tackle that was so weak not even an Italian would go down from it.

Also, for those who wanted to use Arsenal, you only need to win 5 games and they unlock.

First impressions from my first match. Boy this is different, I didn't think there'd be much of a change from FIFA WC but it is a hell of a lot different.

Definitely feel the slowed down pace of the game. Might have to chuck it on Fast games speed to see what that's like. There's not a whole lot of pace to the players, granted I didn't have anyone particularly fast running with, but it's definitely more toned down from the speedfests that you see in FIFA 10 and WC.

Passing feels good, I only missed 9 passes of 63 passes attempted.

Didn't get a goal in regular time, had a couple of alright opportunities and kept my defence up well and only allowed in 1 shot attempt (albeit a VERY good shot attempt!) and then ended up winning in penalties making all my shots and saving the first 2 from the opposition. Played on World Class first up and will move to Legendary as I usually do once I've sussed out the gameplay.

I like the options too.

Net Tension: Default/Regular/Loose/Tight
Net Shape: Default/Rectangle/Triangle

Triangle looks pretty sweet.

Also loving the new stats popping up in breaks of play or just randomly and also having the commentators commentate on some of them. Very nice!

Not sure about the new menu with no background on it (in-match), looks strange.
