Quick Single Player money making method in UT
There is a single player tournament called the Golden Goals and its rules are to have a full gold team. I've just played it and its a quick money making method. The prize is 1.5k with extra from the games. Assuming you get 400 coins or more per game its an extra 1.6k on top on the bonus. The second time and the more times you enter is a 1k bonus. Its only 4 games against the ai but its quick cash none the less. The opposition is very easy and a full discard gold team can you this cup. Keep rinsing this method for a week and get mad profit. Plus use those gold you have in the club to good use. I suggest running 2 gold teams and another team among the subs to replenish fitness and really maximise your potential.
 
Is it more effective to have analog sprint on or off ? The pace lineups everyone uses is killing me big time.

Off. If you have it on you have to press the trigger harder to run harder. Stupid I know.

Cheers mate. Mine was set on by default and had no idea so it explains why i was getting killed so bad. Off definitely makes a difference, still getting killed by the stacked pace teams in my last couple of games but at least now it's at least somewhat easier to keep up.



Anyone got any formation or custom tactic tips to combat high pressure against the 4321 formation? Mainly for UT because that's the only mode i come across this formation and tactic. I try playing wide to combat it because it's a narrow formation but i get closed down by two players pretty much as soon as i touch the ball and it's basically an instant turnover.

433. Covers the midfield and you have wingers which act as wide forwards that stop he 4321 forwards.

Very easy to do mate. Just pick out an A-league player then base him around the Aussie Championship players then use discard BPL rares to finish it off. That's how I got it to 1.5k.
 
Need to get back into this, have only played it once weekly (as I say "played" I really mean start the game, get my free weekly player packs for FUT, then stop playing :D). I've been playing Fifa 14-16 via the EA Access vault, started with 16 and figured despite playing 14-15 to death on pc... I'd revisit them on the Xbox One.... to get some quick achievements :D.

There's free weekly player packs ? Do you have to win FUT champions or whatever it's called to get these ?

No I brought the super deluxe edition on Xbox One. Which gives me 2 gold packs (jumbo premium) + 1 FUT loan pack per week :D, over 20 weeks. They'll stop around February, hopefully by then I'll be able to string together a side with decent chemistry. Each time I've tried (generally get motivated to do so once a month), I can't get it to the 80's or 90's which frustrates me haha.

Should have paid $130-ish, the price did drop a few times (I think to entice more people to go this route). I signed up with EA Access which gave me a discount, then I used EA Access to download Fifa 16.... which then enabled me to get a further discount on the price for buying Fifa 17 through the game link in Fifa 16 :D. The eventual price was $100-ish, as I got the Microsoft Wallet money that I used to pay for the digital purchase - at a discounted price.

Played pro clubs for the first time last night with some mates. Holy shit that's fun.

It's a great mode, shame EA don't care about it (+ career) as much as FUT. I play it with a mate each year on FIFA. This year, they got rid of accomplishments which is a good thing so playing plenty of games will see your guy get better (Rather than having to try and score volleys, weak foot shots etc.)

The only issue I have found with it is for any ball that is in the air (corners for example) I press circle to have a shot, and rather than do the shot it calls for a player to take a shot. So my player can't do anything in the air, if its a header I will call for a pass. Is there another button or a setting I have to change for this?

Yeah, the button input can be a bit tedious. I find when calling from the CPU, and they pass to another CPU and then the next one passes to you even though they're out of position for a good pass or you're now offside.
The shooting in the air should still work? Maybe the CPU is getting in ahead of you? Not sure but

I would have thought that if it wasn't EVERY single time. Surely I atleast get one if that was the case.
 
That was my issue too. I kept failing the match before getting picked up (despite kicking 2 goals in a 2-nil win) and having to quit/load the same save and go through the cut scenes again was horrible.
