Fight on level 3

I've seen the article and video about this on the Hun website. An absolute disgrace to all involved. Was anyone on here thereabouts when this broke out? Curious about what the hell started it. It's bloody ridiculous that this sort of thing would happen at all, let alone in a NAB Cup game that doesn't count towards anything.

No surprise that the black and white army was prominently involved from the video.

i was there, think it was alcohol related and the guy refrused to go into custody...he punched on with guards till they got the batters out and dragged him down. not sd it...maybe frustration by his team....second qtr was horrible from a pies perspective. but iwas at the front and everyone had a better look see then me so yeh

First fights Ive ever seen at the football in 16 years if you can believe it.

Was pretty shocking... the first one was right near us. The guy was lead down the stairs his face all covered in blood. The second looked worse, but that was over like 6 bays away, thank god. They even fell down the stairs going at each other.

All over a pathetic pre-season game which everyone will forget about in two weeks time (if that). Stupid idiots.

Also, i just had another thought. If you wanna fight, by all means go ahead if they're that stupid... but what happened to 'taking it outside'. I feel sorry for the innocent bystanders who may have copped a fist.. or foot or whatever and they werent even involved!

Yeah we saw that one... Well didn't see it per se, just saw the entire cheersquad turn around and start giving the finger. There were also people running up the stairs to get a closer look (why would you even do that?!).

i feel for all of the innocent people that were close to it who may have been intimidated or dragged in to it.
Hopefully it doesnt deter some of our supporters (particularly the familys with small kids) from going to the games. You dont go to see crap like that.

fortunately i was on level 1 on the outer wing and was not even in a position to view it. All i could see was evryone's heads turned around to focus on one particalar area on level 3. With all of the "oohing and arring" i could only presume it was a fight.

I think the problem was Collingwood were actually really fired up for this one. Blokes were in my face all week at work when I was telling them it's just a glorified practice match. After last year they thought they had our measure and they were really looking forward to sticking it to us. Wasn't to be and that's when the frustration turned physical.
