If we want to make the top four, we have to beat The Kangas and the Dockers in the next two weeks.

Simple as that.

I agree ........Mick Malthouse's coaching methods are just to predictable, especially for the guys who once played under him.

Roos will win quite comfortably.

Collingwood dont deserve to finish in the top 4 after all why should they ? The top 4 will all have proved their worth by playing at subi.

Two pretty evenly matched teams, workmanlike backlines, classy midfields, but I dare say we have the edge over them with our forward line.

I'd give Brodie Holland the huge job on Harvey. Keep him in check but look to sneak away and kick another couple of goals himself, make him accountable.

We are better than this mob, if we can't win forget Top 4 we will be battling to make Top 8.

Jabso.............The draw is completly unfair.

With Eddie at the helm what more would you expect?

I believe he's also asked the AFL to approve not coming to subi next year in return for playing a couple of home games in Sydney.

You guys have played 12 games at the MCG , 6 at telstra whatever and only got your butt's on a plane 4 times.

Yeah it's a real home and away season for you guys*sarcasm*..........You do not deserve to be in the 4 untill you can play ALL the grounds in the comp.

hey I thought i would put my input in. Before I start Holland couldnt hold harvey down let alone kick a couple himsel, you need a speedy, hard at it guy who will be happy getting 5 touches but hlding Harvey under 10. If someone managed to hold Harvey under 10 touches and no goals, they are all class tagger.

I think our backline is very under rated, with Watt doing an okay job at FB, Makepeace and Baird have been very strong and would have been 2 of the Roos top 5 at Subi last week. And Rawlings and Sinclair have been excellent run from HB this season. Watt will take Tarrant, which will be interesting Tarrant is in career best form, if we can hold him down I htink we will win. And Rocca will probably be taken by Brown who has been good for us.

With SImpson coming back, geez I hope he mans up on Bucklyand they have a shootout, but with touches not goals. haha... Bucks was greta on the weekend, might even see Robbins follow him.

Apprentace vs Teacher [Laidley/Malthouse]

Wow that will be matchup of the day, I see similar tactics and a real one on one game, looking forward to having a go at holding top Vic spot!

Yep, Holland, you heard it here first. I dont really know who else we would play on him, who had the job last year - Lockyer? O'Bree might come into it but he should play forward again.

sammygal we played in WA twice in 2001 and 2002 by memory, this year it is Adelaide, Ports, Sydney and Brisbanes turn. You can't have us every year love, now pipe down

So Eddie runs the AFL now does he? Grow up, collingwood does have a football department, you know.
I hope we do make it into the top four just to **** people like you off at the end of year who will be crying their eyes out cause we played well enough to get in there. What happens when we play in Perth in next year? People will complain cause we didnt play in Adelaide...boo hoo. Fact is we had to play 4 away interstate games like most other Melbourne Clubs, and 2 to Adelaide. Surely playing Adelaide and Port Adelaide were a tougher assignment than in Perth....and **** we beat Adelaide, too. Earnt the win..

So welcome to Big Footy new kid. You'll fit in well here, youve had 3 posts and already bagged Collingwood in them straight up. Fortunately bandwagon's like you come and go......hope you enjoy your short stay.

Might want to check that Simpson doesn't get 25 + possies, but that would take some sort of miracle IMO.

Harvey, hope he has a ripper game. If Holland plays on Harvey, then he won't be the one to slip away and kick some goals, Harvey will IMO. Then again, I am bias- and I haven't watched much of Holland.

Will be a good match- I hope their is some sibling rivalry going on between the Rocca's- if one of them is ever in the ruck, I want the other in the ruck at the same time:p GO SAV!!

I hope Watt does well on Tarrant, Tarrant is a very good player- and his pace and strength are something which should worry all sides, they worry me, but Watt is pacey, his strength and one on one stuff needs some work, but he is getting there. Interesting to see how he goes.

Who do you see matching up on Petrie?

Go Roos

Harvey got about 40 touches last year and we still won comfortably. However, that was last year and this season is very much a different one. Maybe Johnson could go with Harvey, he's ... well, he's fast. That's about it.

There is no WAY anyone will hold Harvey under 10 touches unless they knock him out cold in the first 10 minutes!

Even then...

The draw is unfair, big deal, how are you going to fix it? Make it unfair for other teams? Make it fair for one, make it unfair for another. It will never be equal,

You deserve the top 4 on play, not the fixture, Collingwood played twice in WA last year, this year they get them in Melbourne. They lost to West Coast, without traveling, so who cares? West Coast obviously didn't. The fxture isn't made by Collingwood it's made by the AFL. Go whine to them, and not to us, because we can't change it. I doubt Collingwood will finish top 4, but that is because we aren't playing good enough.

collingwood will be lucky to make the 8

Collingwood will make the eight, probably not top four, but they will be in the finals this year.

Next Freo

Then three soft games against Geelong Richmond and Carlton. Then we are set up for the last four rounds against quality opposition.

The final four is in our sights.

Spot on Nic,
Holland was really good, I think he is enjoying the added responsibility MM has given him. His "in and under" work in the centre square was as good as any of the big name stars.
This guy is finally giving the game his all.
An added bonus that I didn't expect at the start of the year.
