There seems to be some delusion about how many Freo supporters will be going to this. Maybe 1000 supporters from Victoria and a couple of thousand will fly over from Perth. This idea that 10,000 people are going to pay $70 for an empty seat just to shit the AFL is fanciful. Well, it's official. Geelong vs Freo at KP Saturday at 2.20pm.

So, I need to find a member who is willing to sell me their ticket - only need one ticket, so I might leave members with 2, 3, or 4 memberships to someone else who may need them (rather than splitting them up).

Would be nice for any WA members not travelling to give a ticket to a few Freo non-member fans over here a chance to attend. I have already spoken to 3-4 after today's game in this position. Group of mates some members and some not, need to travel down togther and will need 2-3 barcodes to get seating together.

I believe it gives you the rights to multiple tickets at all venues apart from Subiaco and Kardinia Park

Saw something about this on the Geelong board. AFL is going to further depart from any normal practice of being equal allowance to club members on a first come first served basis to only allowing only a certain number of Freo members to buy tickets based on their 'estimate' of freo member attendance.

After the last couple of days, I ****en hate them too. 1000 of a 30 000 seat venue is 3%, and we're supposed to get 50%. How do they get away with making the rules up as they go? So what will happen when the 1001 st tries to buy a ticket?

I'm at a loss to fathom out this treatment. 1000 tickets because 'historically' that's how many Freo members have bought tickets in the past? Have they heard of history NOT repeating itself?

Thing is the numbers they are using are not accurate. They know by Barcodes through ticketmaster that 6000 Geelong members and 1000 Dockers members bought tickets to last years MCG final. Also whatever number of AFL members. But a lot of members went but bought tickets without using their barcode because capacity was not a problem and the AFL has no way of knowing the proportion of walk up sales like that.

Also from my experience in the Adelaide final last year buying with memberships I reckon got me worse seats (behind the goals) than if I hadn't used them because ticketmaster automatically placed all Freo members together with the cheersquad. A non member seat amongst Crows supporters on the wings would have been better (except for the loss).

There you go. Even if you don't go to Geelong, buy a ticket for that match and you'll get 20% !! Yes that's right 20% off week two tickets. To bad Freo wont be playing week 2.
