Genuinely interested, who are Freo fans cheering for this finals series? Personally I'd love to see the Crows win it, been the best team all year and have a pretty enjoyable style to watch.

Anyone but wce.
Anyone but Geelong.
Anyone but essendon.

Port can't win it so one of the other 4 teams.

Adelaide, fairly likeable, deserving.
GWS, they'll win a few soon enough so why not now, no use delaying the inevitable.
Richmond, would be madness if they did it, more humour if they don't win a final, something about Hardwick just really grinds my gears but I do have a soft spot for them.
Sydney, been there done that but a bit of redemption for them after 2014 & 2016 but I'd rather other clubs make it.

GWS, put $100 on them before the season so might as well see it through

Hopefully it's twofold and their maiden premiership begins the exodus of talent

My biggest hope is that Port smash the Eagles and stop the media carry on about a fairytale finals run.

After that, I'd rather not Geelong who have become incredibly arrogant the last decade and GWS.

Probably the least interesting finals series for me this year:
Adelaide - spent time with my cousins recently in Adelaide. Basically arrogant West Coast supporters but in less offensive colours, drink better wine, and we know where Adelaide is.
GWS - AFL construct winning before us. Can't work out if their winning would be a good thing or not. Yes, because then the AFL may reduce their advantages and they don't have enough supporters to notice their bragging; No, because this insanely advantaged construct spits in the face of the hypocrisy that comes out of AFL house saying the competition is "fair".
Geelong - Not another one
Sydney - still benefiting from COLA and academy inequality which still doesn't make me want to support them
Essendon - I'm hoping 'the drugs don't work'
Richmond - Such a team of bogans and their supporters are February Premiership frontrunners every year but in the absence of anyone I prefer better, probably these guys.
Port - yes as our friendly sister port, but they are this years team who hasn't really beaten anyone of note so I just hope they smash WC before they bow out to a better team
West Coast - pls no.

I don't.
I hope the Eagles win then get the snot knocked out of them next week.

Worse draft picks for them.
They have the replace guys like Priddis and Mitchell. Further they are away from elite mids the better

I kind of don't mind if GWS win. I feel like the sooner it starts the sooner it is over. This is not very logical, but maybe if they get a couple of premierships under their belt salary cap pressures will bite harder.

Salary cap pressures may bite - but once they win a premiership, their players become 'premiership players' and will command even more of a premium on the open market. It'll just reinforce the dynasty which is the last thing any of us want.

Better that they keep coming close and doing a Richmond for a decade before descending into irrelevance

Sydney or Adelaide.

**** GWS and Geelong.
Port Adelaide a bit of a smoky but I think they need a double chance to go all the way.
West Coast and Essendon only making up the numbers.
Richmond only win if the AFL does a Western Bulldogs with them and I don't want that rubbish happening again. AFL made a lot of money out of WB winning a premiership I can't imagine how much they would be licking their lips if Richmond won one the year after.

Adelaide easily. Also Peel.

Port, Essendon and the Eagles can't win IMO. Secretly I want the toast to make a prelim to give false hope for more top ups.

Of the rest - Not sure about the order here except I know I have Cats last. I won't know until they are playing but I suspect it will be:
Sydney
GWS
Richmond
Geelong

I want to want Richmond to win, but I don't. Possibly because of Dimma's face and manner. (FTR I think he is probably a good bloke but comes off a massive tool to me).

Sydney. Haven't missed finals since 2009, have only missed finals 3 times since 2000. Very jealous of their football management and players. About the right rebuild/regeneration. Luke Parker is elite, Henney debuted and allowed to grow among Kennedy, Hanneberry and Jack. Youngsters such as Allir Allir, Zak Jones, Mills, Lloyd, Newman. Their list is just built for September.
Best defence in the League- shown time and time again that their gameplan stands up, pressure the ball carrier as well as around the contest. Why oh Why did Ross change that gameplan?!
Buddy in fine form. Can't hate them. Envious of them.

I think the feel-good story would be Adelaide winning, considering how much they've been through over the last couple of years. It's been less than 2 years since their coach was murdered and they've grown and moved on to become the dominant team in the comp this year. I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about more. Sure their supporters might be insufferable (but which team's isn't?), but I'd love to see the players come away with a shining light out of such a hard time.

Otherwise, I'm obliged to barrack for GWS because of connections.
