Geelong have played in two games this year with attendances in excess of 50k.

Essendon - Round 14
Official crowd: 51,156 at Telstra Dome.

Collingwood - Round 15
Official Crowd: 85,497 at MCG.

We were also there in 04 and 05 with pretty similar lists. A few of the Roos players have played in previous finals campaigns, but a large number of their players have never played in front of big crowds. Could play a big part in Sunday's proceedings.

This is a good point. As much as North have been trying the mind games on us about having 'nothing to lose'...I suggest there is plenty to lose given their 2005 elimination finals showing against Port.

Have they played in a bigger game since that last final? Finals are a different ball game and at least we have played in 5 recent finals and won 2 and won a fairly tense NAB GF interstate against quality opposition.

Also you cant have it both ways...with Laidley coming out today asking for a bit of respect. Saying you have 'nothing to lose' on the one hand yet wanting the same footing as the top side is kind of trying to have it both ways in my book.

If you want the respect Laids...then you have plenty to lose at the same time. So that's real pressure back on your boys then.

Yeah your right finals experience is a huge bonus, plus a couple of Norm Smith medalst doesn't go astay. :D

Yeah could be hugely important come sunday.

And we have Moons who has a premiership medal despite the fact that he did not get a touch - he was a baby then. If we play strong hard, direct football we'll be right - they are the ones resorting to mind games and intimidation, typical of a 'fight for survival', Gold Coast or oblivion, 'We deserve ....etc." team.

spot on. :thumbsu:
if he trully felt at ease with the situation of the roos in the qual he wouldn't be saying anything about respect or favouritism
