But it's not intra club business. It's a public announcement, and two very public contenders for the job. Why would you not get on twitter and post a congratulatory message?

Is he under instructions from the club as well?

Look, I'm not trying to invent disharmony. I'm all for Tex's appointment. I think it's a great choice and I said on here months ago that I thought both Danger and Sloane might be happier with Tex getting it than one of each other. But there was a clear implication in the press conference that there was robust discussion at the very least, and I find the social media silence a little odd. Maybe there's nothing in it, but it does seem funny.

Have you read their twitter accounts? They tweet about everything, including welcoming new recruits, congratulating Priddis and Talia, for instance. I don't think it absurd to wonder why there's nothing about this.

I'm feeling great about this year, finally the club is making bold moves, this mirrors what the Power did two years ago and that has proved to be a staggering success regardless of what you think about them.

As for Danger, right now I don't care if he stays or goes. If he stays, great, shows his heart is with us. If he goes, then his heart is elsewhere and best that he does go. Just pissed off that in 2014 we could have traded him for heaps, in 2015 probably a pick around 11/12 if we make the bottom of the 8.

Think Trigg should be blamed for this too!!! Speaking of which, VB out is the last significant vestige of the Trigg era.

However you may be correct it might be more about Tex getting the role instead of VB and less about Sloaney missing out

Any word on VC? If danger is p1ssed off I take that as a great sign...if he didn't want to be captain because he's leaving then why would he be peeved ? Glad that they cared enough to have some disappointment...good signs that they are hungry and focused and best to air their stuff ro eachother and move on...well played AFC and pumped re tex !!

I agree. Danger and Sloane have been nothing but committed to this club and they deserve to be treated with respect by the fan base. People saying it might be good to lose them have rocks in their head.

He probably put a flatulence cushion on Ted's chair. Must have been disappointed when he realized that Tex was floating on air.

If Sloane wants to be captain he just needs to do as Luke Hodge did when Sam Mitchell was given the captaincy, continue to become a better leader until the squad just starts to naturally follow him and it becomes obvious that he would be a better captain, if that happens the club will switch and Tex will probably be OK with it.

Since we're all making assumptions:
1. The "man talk" was about telling VB he's not a starting player and we need a captain who is first name on the sheet
2. Sloane and Danger don't want to be captain
