Just wondering who Bigfooty thinks will be the first to 17 premierships. Essendon and Carlton are already on 16 and many expect Collingwood to climb to that peak at the end of this year.

As much as I'd love to say Essendon I rekon I'd nearly have to go the Pies. They truely look like a side that can win another couple in the next 5 years where as Essendon are still building a team and Carlton appears to lack the extra gear required to go from a finals contender to a premiership team. Of course when Murphy hits his peak in the next 2-3 years they may be ready.

Depends on how quickly Essendon or Carlton come on.

I doubt Essendon will win a flag in the next 3 years so count them out. Carlton need something Extra and i can't see them winning flag as they are now. You would think you would have to go with the pies.

Essendon - 16, 1 in 11 years = 2022.
Carlton - 16, 1 in 16 years = 2027.
Collingwood - 15, 2 in 21 years = 2032.
Hawthorn - 10, 7 in 34 years = 2045.
Melbourne - 12, 5 in 55 years = 2066.
Richmond - 10, 7 in 80 years = 2091.
Geelong - 8, in 114 years = 2125.

Can't see Pies winning another 2 more. Sides have to be seriously special for that and i'm not getting that vibe from the Pies.

Carlton or Essendon. And Carlton are ahead of the Bombers on the premiership clock so i'd say us.
