I will elaborate on this post.

At a training session that NWTYRX went to, he was on the fence while Fisher and someone one were riding the bikes on the boundary line, and my brother heard Fisher tell the other player (who escapes me at the moment) that the pin would be out on the 20th, and that he would play the week after the pin came out.

Considering the 20th was the night we played Richmond, given that we don't play St. Kilda until the 28th, that gives Fisher 8 days to rest up.

I'd take Fisher's own word over that of a newspaper
I'm guessing that other player would have been Grigg? Both were riding bikes on the boundary in the week before the WC game in Perth. Surprising that he'd know then the date the pin would come out, considering he was estimated to be out a for a couple weeks longer than it appears.

Incidentally Fisher is a far better mark than Fev. Fev has got the yips with his hands and feet at the moment.

Without a doubt. Fev is definitely not as sharp as he was in 06 with his marking (could be due to the finger surgery) and kicking back in 2006 - now that he's off the grog, hopefully he can return to that form. He's never been a great contested mark, always a lead up type - however, in 06 his contested marking was significantly better than it's been than in any of his other seasons, which meant that he'd still kick a few even when being beaten on the lead. Not to mention the number of crumbing goals he kicked in 06.

Waite craps on Fish......cant believe that was posted.

People have a soft spot for fish - but he is a one trick pony. He is a great "pack" mark, fev can out position people better with his body, yes - fish also has the better hands. Again Waite is has done what we were hoping from him at the start of last year, and delivered in spades.

Fish is a tall makring forward, who actually servers us better when he runs up the ground a bit. Waite can do it all. From taking the speccy, to breaking lines and running the ground to forward delivery or even goal. Not Fish.

Anyway - having fish back will be very handy - however I still think we need more - hammer and kreuzer coming back will be good - but agree with so many other posts - we need some better tackling players. Armdield
