Left my for the last possible moment incase of late mail or anything, so here it is....

1. Jack Watts Melbourne

Gone are the days of old when a full forward was to stay in the square and would run an average of 50 metres per game. Enter the new bread of Full Forward, in Jack Watts. Has all the athletic attributes and has a very capable footy brain. Looks a certain pick here for the dees. Nick Nat also a chance here but a forward like this doesn't come around very often.

2. Nicholas Naitanui West Coast

The big fijian who if he wasn't tall enough for a ruckmen already, can jump over most in the AFL, looks like the number 2 pick. Though his skills need some fine tuning, Nick Nat looks like having a solid AFL career. His presence around the field is where his true value lies in my opinion. His chasing, tackling and second efforts is staggering for a man his size. West coast also I believe would get themself a midfielder aswell with pick as naitanui, whilst not contesting the ruck, is a hard running player who could play like an Adam Goodes maybe.

3. Stephen Hill Fremantle

Very much the bloter of the draft. If sources are to believed, Freo have setlled on the pacy Hill. Will this be the right move? Possibly. Whilst I believe Rich will have the better career, Hill will be the more important for his team. His run and dash will prove vital in coming years as palmer and co, will struggle to function fluently without receivers. And if Hills silky skills weren't enough, he is also one of the best taggers in this draft if the need arise. Don't worry Docker Fans, this pick is a safe one.

4. Hamish Hartlett Port Adelaide

I believe Hamish will be one of the best from this crop (with Yarran and Sidebottom) He is a profound clearance winner, and is also a great outside midfielder. Port look to have the choice between Him and Rich. I believe Hartlett to get the nodd, with the home factor the deciding one. Has alot more upside in rich and is the safest pick in the draft. Will be an out and out champion and If he goes to port, mark him down as a captaincy nominee down the track.

5.Steele Sidebottom Essendon

Tough Choice, We won't pick up Hurly, as we have made it clear last year was about defenders. It's down to Steele v Yarran as Recruites want Yarran and Knights Steele. In the End, I'd say Knights will win out. With great skills and a endurance aswell. Steele has proven himself in all over the ground. Looks to be the goal kicking mid essendon have been crying out for. Dont be surprised if Chris Yarran, or a very outside chance Rich is called out.

6. Chris Yarran Carlton

Chris will be picked up by the Blues provide the Dons don't take (I hope the dons do). As a forward/midfielder, Yarran will fit in well with Carlton. Their need for a key back is greatly overrated, as there is some talent there. Yarran kicked 39 goals from 13 games in WAFL league this year, including 17 in his first game. If he gets his engine up, a move into the midfield is a given. He gets everyone involved, and has been mistaken as lazy for making the hard look easy. And for those who are thinking stero-type aboriginal. He is as dedicated as you'll see and after the ordeal with his father, he is responsibe. Will be the best player in the draft if he builds up his tank. Expect Hurley here should Yarran be picked at 5.

7.Jack Ziebell Brisbane

Looks like Jack could be heading up North. A hard nut and under-aged. Jack Has the traits to play as an on baller or a centre Half Foraward. Voss could be lured towards Rich or Swift, but it looks as if Jack will be the one. A 200 game player in the making, and leadership qualities, you can't go wrong with Jack. Rich and Swift also a show here.

8.Tyrone Vickery Richmond
The tigers have been keen on him for awhile and will snap up tyrone given the chance. Personally i rate him as the best ruckman in this draft. Good skills and a very good athlete, He is also a very compotent forward, should the need arise. Pretty much a look, But if Hartlett were to fall, He will be picked here.

9.Daniel Rich North Melbourne

The slider of the draft, Rich has done it all as a juniour, however, his scope for improvement is most likely less then most other draftees. I have no doubt he will be a 200 player. Has a Raking Left foot, for his his weight and size, is also pretty quick. North will be liking thier lips at the thought of Rich slipping to them. Other options here Could Be Hurley or Sidebottom.

10.Jackson Trengove Adelaide

This is a toss of the coing between Hurley and Trengove. I gave Trengove the heads up due to Adelaides known intrest in him. Although he tore the hammy of the bone, he will be fighting fit in 09 though lacking a full pre season. I rate him the best defender in the draft, and like that has been said before, If ever you wanted to draft someone to man the likes of Buddy and Watts in the future, he's your man. Hurley could also be picked up here.

11.Tom Swift Collingwood

Expect Collingwood to bite the bullet here. Swift was probably one the best 16 year old players ever, but injury has brought him down the past 2 seasons. A hard ball winner and outside mid, Swift is the full package. DOes have the potential to be the best in this crop but I will be conservative and say a solid to good player. If sidebottom drops however, expect him to be picked instead.

12.Michael Hurley Sydney

Most have him as high as 5, however I think Hurley will be picked up by the swans at 12. AA full back the last 2 years, Hurley is also a very competent forward. Could be drafted for either by the swans, though i'd say defender more likely. Queries on pace have been raised but his TAC form is one of the best you'll ever see. Wont be a star (unless moved to CHF) but will be the unsung hero with him negating forwards to 1-2 goals a game. Other options here include Yarran and Blease

13.Sam Blease St.Kilda

The saints would like a quick silky skilled midfielder, with blease the best thats left. Though a pre season is needed, in a few years time he should turn into a very consistent footballer. Other options here is Yarran (should he slide this far) and Roughead

14. Ayce Cordy Western Bulldogs

The father son pick, Ayce is a skinny kid, in much need of a pre season or two, but as a ruckman, has the potential to be like a Naitanui type ruckman. Exceptional around the ground and hard running, would probably have gone higher if not picked father son.

15.Nick Heyne Geelong

To be honest, I have no Idea who Geelong will pick up, they have no obvious weakness. Nick Heyne is my smokey for this pick, A medium forward/Midfielder, Heyne has nice skills and is a good all round package.

16.Phil Davies Hawthorn

Rumoured to be going cold on the davis bandwagon, I still believe they will pick him up. Unlike geelong, if Hawthorn has a weakness, it's their defence. Whilst they are not a dab defence, it could still be better, with Davies the best defensive prospect available. Hawthorn could prehaps also go with, Lisle ,ash smith or Jaydn Post
