ok so guys thought it would be worth a thread to see what evryone thinks will be the key points for the doggies to get up against the weagles.
FIVE BIG INS: I think for us it is very crucial that we have these 5 blokes back. Libba will be great in the contest, he is an absolute animal and is made for finals footy. So is jake stringer, if he fires up he could be the x-factor, game changer that we need. Macrae will hopefully be back to his usual best being that link up player who is someone who can give great delivery as we enter through the middle third of the ground. Roughy is obviously a big in as we get our usual first choice, mobile ruckman back this week. And last but not least easton wood the stand-in skipper could be the biggest in of all. He will be crucial in the back half taking those intercept marks and setting up attacks on the rebound. He will also lead from the front and provide inspiration to his teammates.
PRE-FINALS BYE: Could be an enormous factor. Out of the top 8 it has probably helped us the most and the eagles the least. We were lucky that we have this week off and were able to get wood, libba and macrae back, and west coast are unlucky because they we're the form side of the competition and probably would have had the edge, but now it is a clean slate and most of the momentum is lost.
SUCKLING AND STRINGER NEED TO FIRE: These two could be the difference tommorow night. As mentioned earlier, if Jake Stringer catches fire he could change the game almost single-handedly. Matty Suckling needs to get his act together. If he can get his kicking right, after his miserable last few weeks of the regular season, he could set up a lot of attacks and be the crucial player in our system that we brought him in for. If this happens it could be the difference between winning and losing.
FORWARD ENTRY QUALITY: Something we have lacked all year, is that final kick inside 50. We dont have much quality in this area, but we need the boys just to hit the kicks. If this happens it could help us kick a higher score, which leads me onto my next point.
SCORING WOES: I remember last year, we used to be one of the most attacking sides in the comp. Now we are the new scrappy fremantle of old. I think we need to find a steady balance becuase in two years we have seen the two extremes. If we can sort this out, we could be a force to be reckoned with in September and hopefully October.
