Thats surprising!! Jones, Haynes and Williams deserved new contracts, but i would of thought the eagles would at least wait and see what happens with the trades before they resign fringe players like Chambers and Munro.

But IMO it's good news. At least we know our team is stable and we won't see major changes to our playing staff.

Im glad we have resigned Jones, the kid is a star in the making and Haynes is also a promising youngster and deserved a contract. Im also happy about the decision on Williams, wasnt sure what the club was going to do about Andrew but i think he could be a very good player if he could just turn up his game a couple of steps...he's so close.

Not too sure on Chambers and Munro though, thought they would have waited on these two. No news on Green :( I think the kid is pretty good. Does he already have a contract?

im a bit surprised about the signing of Chambers and Munro, i personally wasnt too sure if they'd done enough

Chambers has looked good in some games but wasnt consistent and Munro really hasnt been given a chance to prove himself

im happy about the signing of Jones tho, he's gonna become an important part of the future of the club

Not so fast Kowalski

Just because we've given them contracts doesn't mean to say they won't necessarily be traded. In fact, to trade people, they have to be under contract (otherwise they just go).

For example, Scott Cummings signed a contract with Port Adelaide one week before being traded to us.
