Who will we play twice next year?

I would like to request exclusively Saturday and Sunday afternoon games. Cancel the blockbusters, get us completely out of the public eye.
This. Please take us out of the so-called “marquee games” because they’re embarrassing and one-sided and the club and players get rewarded every year with 90,000 + crowds when they completely don’t deserve it. Give those match ups to other teams until we can prove we are genuine contenders again

My three no’s

1. No opening round for the whole comp, make the ladder make sense again.

2. No Collingwood twice just to pump up the crowd attendance numbers. It’s fine to have just the once on Anzac Day.

3. No more prime time slots for us. We aren’t producing a product worth watching.

Saturday and Sunday day games so we can go home or get out on the town and on the sauce after another loss
I've traditionally not been a fan of Sundays but I'm all in. This team isn't worth travelling back late at night for. Saturday twilight and Sunday 1:10pm please.

Interestingly the AFL have put in that you can play up to 4 teams in your own group. If we infer that West Coast are the most likely to get this in the bottom 6 (given they had a one win season), puts us at an 80% chance of playing them twice. I don't think we'll be one of the teams to get the 4 teams in the bottom 6, so I'm still hoping for a 3/2/1 split over the three groups.

I haven't been since the original Gather Round in 2023 and yet again I won't be going. The atmosphere vs Melbourne was rubbish, barely anyone there except early arriving Port fans for their game afterwards. No idea why they've done it again.

I live here so have been to them all. It has gotten better every year. Last year was really good. Lots of fans of all teams there. I had some great banter with a Richmond supporter near me all game.

Hard to justify when you add a seven hour drive for worse atmosphere than what we get in Melbourne.

So ...

Double ups against North, Melbourne, Port, Hawks, GWS and the Lions

Only one game against Geelong (in Geelong) and the Dogs (at Marvel)

Interstate Trips: 6 (this includes our Gather Round game against Melbourne, it would be 7 if you count the Geelong trip).

After Round 12 we only travel interstate once (to Brisbane in round 18 - again discounting the Geelong trip)

Not a bad fixture IMO, looking like I'll have to spring for a Kayo subscription, but other than that I cannot find much to complain about.

Very possible we enter the bye at round 15 with only 2-3 wins.

I wouldn't be expecting more than 6 wins next season.

Post bye we've got a decent run Freo in Melbourne, then the next block of Richmond, WCE, Carlton (without TDK or Curnow), Melbourne (without Oliver and Petracca) then North would all be winnable. Then from round 17 - 24 I wouldn't have us as likely wins for any of them.
