It was reported on channel Seven news tonight that Chad Fletcher has been told by Woosha that he will get his send off game after all.

Fletch was interviewed and he did say he was real happy to get a send off game and that doing a lap around the oval wouldnt have been nearly as good.

Cheers for your years of service Fletch and heres hoping you have a great final game.

Evidently the players were pretty happy about it Tuesday night. Barra, on PR, said there had been a lot of back slapping and handshaking for Fletch at training on Tuesday. Hope he has a good one!:thumbsu:

A good outcome for a stalwart of the club particularly as he has earned his recall on form. Lets give him an appropriate send off.

well done fletch on a great career, i will be there cheering the boys on:thumbsu:

If it is true, and I'm sure it is, then I'm sure Woosh will stick to his guns in saying that he was not picked for a farewell game, but he has earned his spot, etc, etc.

I'd still rather see McNamara picked. He's also been in good WAFL form and unlike Fletcher he's fighting for his contract.

Anyway, congrats to Fletch, and let's give him one game without his own fans booing/catcalling him.

Yes! I hope we can win it for him too :D:thumbsu:

Don't like it.

Sets a bad precedent. We can accomodate a send off game now because we're not playing for a finals spot or position in the 8. But what happens if when Wirra, Cox, or Glass retire we are in this situation and have to knock them back. Some people will ask the question as to why these players can't have one whilst Fletcher had one.

Besides that, right now our team is all about development. Rather have a young kid play or play someone fighting for a contract.

But whilst he's getting a game I hope he has a good one.

Its not a send off game, its a well deserved game based on injuries and great form. Why go to the trouble of telling everyone he had to earn his spot if they were going to give him a send off game anyway? doesnt make sence...

I hope he has a blinder.. at least grab his usual posessions and not have any brain fades or shanks.

we know he'll pick up 25+ touches. we'll just have to wait and see what happens with them...

im partial to the decision. i'd personally rather see a macnamara/smith/schoey/jojo get a game over fletcher but im not really pissed off at it, he deserves a game on form.

just hoping for a win, end the season on a high note.
