In some circumstances behavior away from work can breach an employment contract, such as professional sports, especially where the misconduct has sufficient connection with employment. Dismissal on grounds of causing damage to the company is also recognisable as a basis for termination of employment in the circumstances.

Public face of company continually posts discriminatory stuff to thousand of followers that goes against the values of employer and major sponsors after continual warnings. That’s the picture champ.

Yes they had a choice when they chose to sign the employee contract which they were advised of prior to employment.

You’re aware how social media works, right? He posted to thousands of followers who then would have reposted and commented on his post. If he didn’t want it to be widely disseminated he should have chosen his target audience better (i.e. friends and family) rather than the general public.
