I think you have severely misjudged the severity and effects of each religion. Look around the world and show me all Christian majority countries that are discriminating against women and punishing homosexuals. Then do a comparison with those with Muslim majorities and their treatment of minorities and women and tell me which is the more tolerant. I am against all religions that promote hate and intolerance - but one stands up the top of the list by a long long margin which is why it gets most of my attention. If you cannot accept this fact then the discussion is not worth having.

I gave you an example of a Muslim sports star who spewed the same garbage and as punishment was given a role on a prime time shit Australian TV show. Followed by an opportunity to write an opinion piece in a large Australian newspaper.

that has everything to do with society advancing and choosing to become secular (ie saying **** your religion), rather than christianity itself. christianity has an extremely dark past in executing women and gays. it wasnt even that long ago in our own christian country that being gay was not only shunned, but literally illegal.
